Teen Gang Member Arrested for Brandishing a Weapon

On Thursday July 10, at 9:10 pm, Officers from the Tehachapi Police Department responded to the Central Park for a juvenile subject brandishing a firearm. The juvenile then threatened another juvenile at gun point and then fled the area.
Officers from the Tehachapi Police Department then made a traffic stop on the suspect vehicle and took four local juveniles with gang affiliation into custody. The juveniles were interviewed and one subject was detained and arrested for making criminal threats, brandishing a firearm and participating in a street gang.
The juvenile was transported to the Kern County Juvenile Detention Facility and was booked into custody. The firearm was not recovered and is outstanding. If you have any further information about this crime, please contact Detective D. Brown at the Tehachapi Police Department at (661) 822-2222.
