0 responses 1 comment On behalf of Main Street Tehachapi, I want to congratulate Jake's Steak House on winning the Sterling Silver Certificate from the Southern California Restaurant Writers, Inc. We are very proud of Jake's and all our Downtown eating establishments. They are a major reason to come Downtown on a regular basis and enjoy the cuisine.

I wish everyone to know that Jake's Steakhouse is not as good as this reads. We went to Jakes for an early Mother's Day dinner, and were seated in the corner table by the door. We waited a full 45 minutes to be served a glass of water and a soda. Things went worse from there. 2 hours later we were served steaks that were raw, obviously rushed so as to not loose the $75.00 we were charged for a wonderful dinig experience. So beware, the manager of this establishment seemed unconcerned when I phoned to complain, informing me that I was lying, that I hadn't been there for over 2 hours. I just thought I should let people know about this awful experience.
