Adventure Camp now accepting applications for employment

Adventure camp is a 10-week, day program that is now accepting applications for staff to work with children doing crafts, sports, all kinds of activities and field trips. This is a great opportunity for summer employment beginning in June and ending in August.

Cinco de Mayo

Come join us on Cinco de Mayo, from 5 to 10 p.m. for a festive, fun-filled evening. We will have a piñata for the kids and mariachis for all. The whole community is welcome. We will be serving an authentic Mexican buffet; cost is only $6.50 per person. Cerveza will be available with donations. Our fiesta will be held at the West Park Activity Center, located at 410 West D Street.

For more information, call 822-3228.

The complete digital photographer

This program is for the serious photographer. It will combine digital camera techniques, the digital darkroom (primarily Photoshop), printmaking and displaying finished photos (matt cutting and framing).

Instructor Gene Stirm will conduct six classroom sessions and one field trip (date and location of field trip will be determined in class to best meet the needs of the participants). The class will be workshop style with demonstrations, assignments and project critics.

Participants should have basic skills with computers, printers and digital cameras. Classes meet on Wednesdays from 6:30 to 8 p.m. April 26 through May 31 at the West Park Activity Center. Cost is $75.

For more information, call 822-3228.

Evening water workout

Hurry and join our evening water workout class. Instructor Joanne Berman has fun classes planned for our water aerobicizers, including “Survivor” month. This is a great class for couples to work out together in a safe and friendly environment. Get in shape for summer at our indoor, heated pool.
