What a treat: the Summit Singers are having a quilt raffle and you may be the winner of a handmade quilt. This lovely prize, crafted by singers and quilters "4 Goodness Sake," will be the grand prize at the drawing on May 20.
As you know, the quartet "4 Goodness Sake" opens most of the programs presented by the Summit Singers and they’ve developed a somewhat symbiotic relationship with the quartet, contributing a wonderful quilt for a fundraising raffle in May.
This concert is the last one of the 2005-2006 season and promises to be an unforgettable event. Several new singers have joined the group and the sound is well balanced and powerful.
Director Chick Gamble directs the singers, who practice every week throughout the season. He selects challenging and entertaining music which will please every ear.
Do yourself a favor and mark May 20 on your calendar today and while you’re thinking about it, purchase your raffle tickets at one of the participating merchants to support your local community chorus.
Those merchants are: The Apple Shed, Tehachapi Art Center, Gallery 'N' Gifts, Java Cafe, Books & Crannies, Tehachapi Furniture and Mountain Music.
