Members of St. Malachy Church will begin the solemn Holy Week services with a Palm Sunday Mass, which is a commemoration of the Lord’s entrance into Jerusalem.

PALM SUNDAY VIGIL MASS: 5:30 p.m. The Vigil Mass on Saturday, March 24, to begin in McMullan Hall with opening prayers and procession to the church.

PALM SUNDAY, MARCH 25: Mass times are 8 a.m, 10 a.m. and 12 noon (Spanish), 2 p.m. Latin Mass. Opening prayers and a solemn procession from McMullan Hall before each Mass.

HOLY THURSDAY; MASS OF THE LORD’S SUPPER: 7 p.m. March 29. The evening Mass ends with a procession to an Altar of Repose where Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament will begin at 8 p.m.

GOOD FRIDAY (Passion of the Lord): March 30, 3 p.m. Services will be conducted in a three-part ceremony beginning with Liturgy of the Word followed by Adoration of the Cross and Holy Communion. No Mass is celebrated on Good Friday.

HOLY SATURDAY, Vigil of Easter: 8 p.m. Holy Saturday begins after sundown and will include Blessing of the Fire, Blessing of the Easter Candle, Easter Proclamation (Exultet), Liturgy of the Word, Sacraments and Holy Mass.

EASTER SUNDAY, MASS OF THE RESURRECTION: Easter Sunday Masses of the Resurrection of the Lord are 8 a.m., 10 a.m. and a noon Spanish Mass and 2 p.m. Latin Mass.
