There will be a Tehachapi March for Our Lives Rally at 11 a.m. March 24. It is a sibling rally to the main one happening in Washington, D.C.
The main #MarchforOurLives rally is organized and led by victims of the recent mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Fla.
This event was conceived as a response to increasing incidences of gun violence in schools. Students need to feel and know that it is safe to go to school. This is part of the #NeverAgain movement. The Tehachapi rally is for everybody, no matter what your age, who want to see change in laws that will prevent such future mass shootings.
March for Our Lives is a call to members of Congress to change gun laws and policies to avoid any further senseless acts of violence and death. It is hoped that the large number of rally participants around the world including Tehachapi will motivate Congress to make the needed changes. Help the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School students by attending the Tehachapi rally. Forge some meaningful legal changes.
The Tehachapi March for Our Lives Rally will take place at the southeast corner Tucker Road and W. Valley Boulevard. For information, call 661-238-3199.
Ginny Tunks is one of the organizers of the Tehachapi March for Our Lives Rally.
