Thomas Calvert, a urologist who practices in the Adventist Health Physicians Network, will speak during an open forum Thursday about prostate cancer.
Calvert will speak about the epidemiology of prostate cancer, screening, risks, treatment options and the long-term complications and problems after prostate cancer treatment. The prostate group meeting takes place at 5 p.m. Thursday at Adventist Health Tehachapi Valley, 1100 Magellan Drive.
Calvert cares for patients with diseases and conditions of the urinary tract and male reproductive system, and performs a variety of procedures, including laparoscopic surgery, open surgery, biopsies and more. He treats conditions including kidney, prostate and bladder cancer; kidney stones; benign prostatic hyperplasia; and fertility issues.
He earned his medical degree and a master’s degree in public health from St. George’s University, School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies.
