Thunder Paws Dog Training of Tehachapi and the Red Cross are partnering to offer an exciting opportunity for pet owners in the greater Tehachapi area. On Saturday, May 10, the Red Cross is offering two workshops at Thunder Paws Dog Training Center (20609 Santa Lucia St, Tehachapi).
The first is a disaster preparedness session that will focus on taking care of family pets in a natural disaster. This session is free and open to the public. It takes place between 9 am-10 am.
At 10:15, the Red Cross will offer a First Aid/CPR course for those who want to learn how to administer first aid care to their pets. Participants will get hands-on experience using cat and dog mannequins. They will receive a copy of the Red Cross First Aid Training Manual for Dogs, and will be Red Cross certified to give first aid care to cats and dogs.
The workshop will take about 2.5 hours and costs $70. Participation is limited so register soon! If you want to participate, text Rosemary Evans at 805-657-1792 or call Rosemary at 661-867-2295.
This should be a great opportunity for professionals in the pet care industry, animal rescue volunteers and pet owners. Free parking and refreshments will be available.
