Silver City Ghost Town will host a Friday the 13th Public Lantern Light Night Tour featuring “Paranormal Movement Investigations" from 8:30 until 10:30 p.m.

These acclaimed history/mystery Lantern Light Night Tours and Live Paranormal Investigations all feature emcee and guide J. Paul Corlew (as seen on Bio HD’s paranormal series “My Ghost Story”). Corlew is also founder of GRIT Paranormal, a group which always has members at these events.

The Friday the 13th (of September) public live event is scheduled to be co-hosted by Paranormal Movement Investigations out of Porterville. Members of the group will be conducting a live interactive paranormal investigation and demonstrating ghost hunting tips and techniques that night.

If you have ever wanted to be part of a ghost hunting investigation or simply want to learn the fascinating history of the Kern River Valley, you will love these events. Attendees are welcome to bring cameras and their own ghost hunting gear to join in, or just observe and enjoy the unique presentation and live investigation.

Call 760-379-5146 to make an advance ticket purchase with a credit card, or purchase tickets beginning at 8 p.m. at the gate. The cost is $12 per person. All proceeds from admissions and these special events are used for the continuing operating costs, renovation, restoration and museum acquisitions on site. No public funds or tax dollars are utilized to operate Silver City. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Silver City is officially open weekends only through Memorial Day, but also many other days by chance or appointment 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. (5 p.m. Saturdays).
