Annual egg hunt to be held April 19

The Tehachapi Valley Recreation and Park District will host its annual egg hunt Saturday, April 19 (the day before Easter), at West Park, 490 W. "D" St.

All children under the age of 10 are invited to join the Bunny on a hunt for festive eggs. Be sure to bring your own baskets and arrive early as all hunts will begin at their scheduled time. The event is free.

Special eggs of gold, silver and metallic colors will be redeemable to the Bunny for special prizes. Adults may only accompany small children under the age of two onto the field.

There will be volunteers to assist the older children. The following egg hunts will be held as follows:

* Infant through 2 years of age at 9:30 a.m. at the Valdez Field.

* 3 to 5 year olds at 10:15 a.m. at the Mata Field.

* 6 to 7 year olds at 11 a.m. at the Uli Field.

* 8 to 9 year olds at 11:45 a.m. at the Grimes Field.
