The Rotary Club of Tehachapi will host a Cowboy Night fundraiser, Saturday, May 3, beginning at 5 p.m., at the Stallion Springs Gym.
The fun-packed evening will include a dinner of tri-tip cooked on site, pulled chicken and fixings catered by Red House BBQ and a drink. Live music will be performed by the Honky Tonk Truckers and line dancing lessons will be provided. The fundraiser will include an opportunity to send a friend or family member to the "jail," which they will have to "bail" their way out. There will be a no host bar, several blackjack tables and silent and live auction prizes.
The Rotary Club of Tehachapi serves the community with three interactive clubs, RYLA Leadership Camp called RYLA, scholarships for graduating seniors, personalized books for all TUSD kindergarten classes to promote literacy, holiday senior luncheon, senior citizen Battery Replacement Program, and breakfast with Santa, plus many other projects and assistance with other organizations like the Senior Center and the Salvation Army.
Rotary also is a worldwide organization that has worked to eliminate polio throughout the world and is involved in many projects to make living conditions and health issues better all over the globe.
