A recipient of an AAUW American Fellowship, Mirna Troncosco, will be the speaker at the AAUW meeting to be held Wednesday, April 9, at 4 p.m., at the Tehachapi Community Church, 100 E. "E" St. The public is invited to attend.
Troncosco has been working on her Ph.D. in public health at UCLA. Her research is focused on food decisions among low-income Latino families from the perspective of women and the issues of being overweight. She is committed to a deeper understanding of food choices in families and to developing policy and research agendas to support better nutritional choices for families.
