Share in the holiday spirit at the beautiful Beekay Theatre and see the heart-warming play, "A Christmas Story." Presented by Tehachapi Community theatre and written by Philip Grecian, "A Christmas Story" is a family-friendly play that will leave you laughing.
The play is based on the well-known movie of the same name. The story follows 9-year old Ralphie Parker in his quest to get a genuine Red Ryder 200-Shot Carbine Action Range Model Air Rifle for Christmas.
Directors Heather Ringle and David Reed have teamed up to bring you this wonderful yule-tide show. Ringle is known for directing many TCT children's and teen shows. This is her first outing directing a main-stage show. Her past experience serves her well as the cast for "A Christmas Story" consists mostly of children.
"David and I have wanted to work together for years and we are thrilled at this opportunity," said Ringle. "This is his first time directing children and they love working with him."
Having returned to Tehachapi after a two-year absence, Reed has stepped up to the plate of directing again.
"I didn't truly feel like I was home until I got involved with the theatre again," he said. "I'm having a blast working with the kids and I love what the adults in the play bring to their characters. They put their own spin on the parts they play."
