Christian women's conference scheduled for Nov. 2

"Every great awakening in Christian history comes from the breaking down of barriers between Christians."

Maggie Morgan of the Tehachapi Church of the Nazarene had a heart to bring all the women's ministries of Tehachapi's Christian churches together for support, encouragement, and a sharing of resources. Eleven different churches' women's ministry team leaders have been meeting throughout 2013 and together planned a Tehachapi-wide conference for Christian women: "Love in a World of Hurt," to be held Nov. 2, at Country Oaks Baptist Church, 20915 Schout Road, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Teri Thompson will be the special guest speaker for this event. Teri has a heart to see women grow in their relationships with Jesus Christ. She will do all she can to point women to Jesus! She has been involved in women's ministries for more than 25 years. She teaches a weekly Bible study, writes Bible studies, speaks at retreats and other women's events. Teri is the founder of the Kern County Christian Women's Conference and the Director of NEWIM in Kern County. Teri's joy is her Lord and her family. She has been married to her wonderful husband for 30 years and has four grandchildren whom she adores.

Come to the "Love in a World of Hurt" Women's Conference. Step away from your hectic schedules and take some time to stop and meet with God and other Christian women from all over Tehachapi. A delicious catered lunch will be served so the deadline to sign up for this event is Oct. 21. Childcare is available.

To sign up, first check to see if your own church is accepting registrations. Registration brochures are also available for download online at TehachapiChristianWomen.Wordpress.com. You can mail or drop off your downloaded registration form to Bear Valley Church, 26180 Plateau Way. For further information, call 822-1379 or email angi@countryoaks.org.
