Avid fisherman and Brite Lake booster Dusty McCauley shows off a big bass he caught (and later released) at the lake. The lake is also stocked with big Alpers trout for the annual Brite Lake Fishing Derby to be held Saturday, April 21.
Brite Lake will be stocked with Alpers Trout for the Tehachapi Valley Recreation and Parks District's Annual Fishing Derby on April 21, from 8 a.m. to 3p.m. (weigh-ins start at 2 p.m. sharp).
Derby wrist bands are for sale at the Tehachapi Valley Recreation and Parks District office, 490 W. D St., or at the Brite Lake kiosk at 22902 Banducci Road.
Entry is $7 for adults and $5 for children (3 to 15 years).
