The Latest News — Assemblywoman Shannon Grove will honor Margie Owens who passed away Nov. 13 with a memorial resolution to be presented on Saturday, Jan. 26 at Kelcy's Cafe at 3 p.m.

Marjorie co-owned Kelcy’s Café with her husband, the late Kelcy Owens whose community service included serving as Mayor of Tehachapi.

11:40 SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES Occurred at Central Park on East “D” St. Second hand info, suspicious dolly w/box on it on the north side of city par, has been there for at least a day. Disposition: Checks Ok.

12:59 UNAUTHORIZED POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA Officer initiated activity at Tehachapi High School, South Dennison Rd. Possible Under influence Disposition: Information only.

13:18 Unauthorized use of personal information occurred at Tehachapi Police Department on East “F” St. Counter traffic. Disposition: Report taken.

18:53 PETTY THEFT LESS THAN $400.00 Occurred at Ranch Hotel Turner Lodgeways on South Curry St. Manager calling on behalf. Taken were a canvas bag, suitcase and a portable DVD player. No suspect, Disposition: Report taken.

22:07 DISTURBING THE PEACE Occurred on East
“E” St., possible disturbance. Family location is east of reporting party's residence, unknown what is being said, unknown weapons Disposition: Checks Ok.

23:05 VICIOUS, BARKING, BITE, ETC. Occurred on East “C” St. 100 block. Unknown type of dog has been barking all day behind her home of 534 East “C” St. across the alleyway behind her house. Unknown address of where the dog lives. Disposition: Quiet on departure.

06:36 TRAFFIC CONTROL NEEDED Officer initiated activity at West Tehachapi Blvd. Assisting at railroad crossing due to malfunctioning air horn Disposition: Assignment completed.

06:48 SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES Occurred on East “I” St. No damage, nothing appears to be missing went through the glove box and papers were left on the floor of the vehicle. May have occurred about 4:30 am when she heard dogs barking. Does not wish contact at this time, requests extra patrol in the area early morning hours. Disposition: advised.

07:41 SCHOOL RESOURCE DUTY Officer initiated activity at Jacobsen Middle School, Anita Dr. Possible criminal threats student/student. Disposition: Report taken.

07:54 BURGLARY; INHABITED Occurred on East “I” St. Past occurred sometime last night, dirt bike was taken out of the garage. Disposition: Report taken.

Stallion Springs Police Department: Nothing to report

Kern County Sheriff Tehachapi Substation: Nothing to report.

• Tonight: Showers likely. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 38. Calm wind. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
• The weekend looks to be a wet one, with precipitation in the forecast until Monday.
• Saturday: A 40 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 47. West northwest wind 5 to 10 mph.
• Sunday: A chance of rain showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 38. Windy, with a west wind 25 to 30 mph, with gusts as high as 40 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

The Tehachapi Healthcare District Board of Directors has canceled its regular scheduled meeting for February 20 and has scheduled two special board meetings for Wednesday, Jan. 30 at 6 p.m. and Monday February 11 at 6 p.m. Both meetings will be held at the Tehachapi Valley Healthcare District main conference room at 115 West "E" St.
