The latest news - Tehachapi continues to recover from the weekend's snowstorm. Roads are still very slick, as snow melts during the day and then refreezes at night. Schools in the Tehachapi Unified School District are dismissed for the day. Tehachapi Police Department:
Dec. 6, 2013:
9:01 a.m. Assault Report occurred at Tehachapi Police Department on East "F" Street. Mother wishes to report possible sexual assault to her daughter, occurred three months ago. Disposition: Report Taken.
12:21 p.m. Burglary/Inhabited. Occurred on Meadowbrook Court. Broke door down and stole marijuana plants. Reporting person was asleep in a back bedroom with the heater running. Disposition: Report Taken.
12:48 p.m. Officer initiated activity at South Curry Street and West Valley Boulevard. Disposition: Arrest Made.
3:59 p.m. Trespassing occurred at Four Seasons Trailer Park on West "J" Street. Subject refusing to leave, last seen in the alley towards Pauley, wearing a white bandana, shirt and jeans. Disposition: Gone On Arrival.
4:10 p.m. Petty theft report. Occurred on West "B" Street. Workers who had trimmed his trees walked away with some of his tools. Disposition: Assignment Completed.
4:15 p.m. Vandalism against person or property of another. Occurred on White Oak Drive. 5 neighborhood children damaging her property. She has them detained in the backyard, all are male juveniles. Disposition: Advised.
Dec. 7, 2013:
1:16 a.m. Vandalism against person or property of another. Occurred on Canyon Drive West. Silver Toyota tundra 2011 was vandalized, busted out brake light. Subjects then fled in white compact lowered vehicle unknown direction, occurred 15 min ago. Disposition: Report Taken.
1:32 a.m. Disturbing the peace occurred on East "J" Street. Second from cont-3 caller disconnected. Physical male between a male subject and the reporting persol and his wife. Female has an injured arm, male fled towards the orchards in a white pontiac. Subject also damaged the vehicle. Disposition: Report Taken.
4:14 a.m. Stolen vehicle report. Occurred on East "I" Street. Cellular E911 Call: Vehicle was taken between 10 p.m. the night before and 4 a.m. this morning. Disposition: Report Taken.
2:33 p.m. Follow up. Officer initiated activity at East "I" Street. Disposition: Arrest Made.
4:17 p.m. Burglary report. Occurred on North Mojave Street. Cellular E911 Call: Several electronics and clothes were taken. No signs of forced entry. Disposition: Arrest Made.
10:25 p.m. Traffic stop. Officer initiated activity at City Slickers Restaurant Saloon on West Tehachapi Bouelvard. Disposition: Arrest made.
Dec. 8, 2013:
11:33 a.m. Defrauding an innkeeper. Officer initiated activity at Summit Chevron on Steuber Road. Female refusing to pay the two that helped her on Tehachapi Boulevard earlier. Disposition: Advised.
9:09 p.m. Traffic stop. Officer initiated activity at Cherry Lane and Elm Street. Disposition: Arrest Made.
Bear Valley Springs Police Department:
Nothing reported for Dec. 6 or Dec. 7.
Dec. 8, 2013:
11:34 a.m. Disbled vehicle occurred at Chevron on East Tehachapi Boulevard. Cellular E911 Call:Lat: 35.109912 Lon:-118.4365/ Vehicle is still disabled and requesting assistance
Service Class: W911. Disposition: Assisted.
2:33 p.m. Traffice hazard. Occurred at Jacaranda Drive and Bear Valley Road. Vehicle blocking the roadway. Disposition: Assignment Completed.
2:37 p.m. Traffic hazard. Occurred at Domino Hill on Bear Valley Road and Oakflat Drive. Small gray sedan in the roadway. Disposition: Assignment Completed.
4:33 p.m. Disturbing the peace. Occurred at Bear Valley Police Department on Bear Valley Road. 415 resident, yelling at dispatcher at the counter, adv he is going to run the gate. Disposition: Advised.
Kern County Sheriff Tehachapi Substation:
Between Dec. 6 and the morning of Dec. 9, the Kern County Sherriff's Department responded to 49 incidents, including a burglary investigation on Backes Lane, a petty theft investigation on Tehachapi Boulevard, two non-injury traffic accidents on Highway 58, a petty theft investigation on Shirley Drive in Golden Hills, and a grand theft investigation on Mesa Drive in Golden Hills.
Stallion Springs Police Department: Nothing reported.
California Highway Patrol: Nothing reported.
Today: Sunny, with a high near 37. Breezy, with an east southeast wind around 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.
Tonight: Clear, with a low around 15. Southeast wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.
Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 44. Southeast wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph.
Tuesday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 23. East northeast wind around 5 mph.
