Tehachapi Police Department:
Feb. 10, 2014
10:11 a.m. Counter at the Police Department. Occurred at Tehachapi Police Department on East "F" Street. Bad check. Disposition: Report taken.
11:51 a.m. Possession of a dangerous weapon. Occurred at Monroe High School on South Snyder Avenue. Student was found with a knife in his possession. No immediate threat, make contact with Principal's office. Disposition: Arrest made.
5:44 p.m. Burglary report. Occurred on West "J" Street. Past occurred someone has stolen a Galaxy Tab from the house, unknown suspect. Disposition: Report taken.
11:23 p.m. Trespassing. Service Class: RESD, male subject that was calling and harassing her earlier is now outside the residence along the west side of the house. Disposition: Arrest made.
11:34 p.m. Petty theft report. Occurred on West Tehachapi Boulevard. Reporting person's girlfriend was 415 verbal with him. She left with all of his cash as well his tax return card, and has turned her phone off. Suspect is a white female adult, 21 years old last seen wearing grey Vans sweatshirt, jeans and black ugg boots on foot in the area. Disposition: Civil problem.

2:44 a.m. Pedestrian check. Officer initiated activity at Aspen Drive. W/ 1. Disposition: Arrest made.
Bear Valley Springs Police Department:
Feb. 10, 2014
6:43 a.m. Traffic Hazard. Occurred on East "H" Street. Service Class: CNTX Westwood/Woodford, Tehachapi stop sign down transferred caller to KCSO. Disposition: Checks Ok.
9:47 a.m. Fire. Occurred on Pinedale Drive. Service Class: RESD reporting party is hearing an alarm type sound from the electric fireplace transferred caller to ECC. Disposition: Advised.
Kern County Sheriff Tehachapi Substation: Between Feb. 10 and the morning of Feb. 11, the Kern County Sheriff's Department responded to 23 incidents, including a malicious mischief and peace disturbance in Golden Hills.
Stallion Springs Police Department: Nothing reported.
California Highway Patrol: Nothing reported.
Today: Mostly sunny, with a high near 59. West northwest wind 5 to 10 mph.
Tonight: Partly cloudy, with a low around 39. West northwest wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

• "Tase the Art" at The Art Studio is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 14 from 5 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. The event is free.
• Main Street Tehachapi's 8th annual Valentine Wine and Chocolate Event is slated for Saturday, Feb. 15 from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Tickets are $25 in advance, $30 the day of the event.
• Ernest Troost, award-winning singer-songwriter is playing at Fiddlers Crossing on Saturday, Feb. 22, starting at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $15.
• The Tehachapi Valley Healthcare District's next meeting is Tuesday, Feb. 11, at 6:30 p.m. in the TVHD special conference room, 115 West "E" St.
• Tehachapi Unified School District is meeting on Tuesday, Feb 11, at 6 p.m. at the Wells Education Center, 300 St. Robinson St.
• The Bear Valley Springs CSD board is meeting on Thursday, Feb. 13, at 6 p.m. at the district's headquarters, 28999 S. Lower Valley Road.
