The latest news - Two weather advisories have been issued for the Tehachapi area by the National Weather Service; read the wind advisory HERE, which is in effect until Saturday at 10 a.m., and the winter weather advisory HERE, which is in effect until 4 p.m. today. AND...The Golden Hills Community Services District board of directors met last night and awarded a memorandum of understanding to Bakersfield-based J. Nov. 21, 2013
12:42 a.m. Unauthorized use of personal information reported at business on East Tehachapi Boulevard. Two suspects attempted to use stolen card at other business and now are currently at this business. Disposition: Unable to locate, report taken.
7:35 p.m. Traffic hazard on Caliente Creek Road; a rock slide. Disposition: Turned over to California Highway Patrol.
8:43 p.m. Traffic hazard on highway, westbound right past Tamarac is a mud slide. Disposition: Turned over to CHP.
Bear Valley Springs Police Department: Nothing reported.
Kern County Sheriff Tehachapi Substation:
Between Nov. 21 and the morning of Nov. 22, the Kern County Sherriff's Department responded to 13 incidents, including an abandoned vehicle at East Abajo Avenue/Steuber Road.
Stallion Springs Police Department: Nothing reported.
California Highway Patrol: Nothing reported.
Today: Rain, possibly mixed with snow showers. High near 41. Breezy, with an east northeast wind around 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent. Little or no snow accumulation expected.
Tonight: A chance of rain and snow showers before 11 p.m., then a chance of rain showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 30. Breezy, with an east wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent.
Saturday: A 30 percent chance of showers, mainly before noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 45. Breezy, with an east wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.
Saturday night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 32. East wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph.
Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 50. East wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph.
Sunday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 36. North northeast wind around 5 mph.
