The latest news - The National Weather Service in Hanford has issued a wind advisory in effect until 4 p.m. this afternoon. The NWS predicts south winds gusting to around 50 mph with occasional gusts to 55 mph. Read more HERE.

Tehachapi Police Department:

Nov. 26, 2013

10:00 a.m. Traffic stop. Officer initiated activity at East Brent. Disposition: Arrest Made.

10:13 p.m. Peace disturbance verbal. Occurred at Best Western Mountain Inn on West Tehachapi Boulevard. Rooms 108-109, verbal between two males. Disposition: Situation Resolved.

Bear Valley Springs Police Department:

Nov. 26, 2013

11:39 a.m. Occurred at South Lower Valley Road. Reporting person stating stating a package has been opened. Reporting person standing by in a white Jeep. Disposition: Assignment Completed.

6:23 p.m. Auto accident no injuries/property. Occurred at Jacaranda Drive and Tiara Court. Subjects flagged down reporting party advising caller that their car was over the cliff. They appear ok, reporting party is no longer on scene. Disposition: Report Taken.

Kern County Sheriff Tehachapi Substation:

Between Nov. 26 and the morning of Nov. 27, the Kern County Sherriff's Department responded to 17 incidents, including two battery investigations and one out of control juvenile. All were in Golden Hills.

Stallion Springs Police Department: Nothing reported.

California Highway Patrol: Nothing reported.


Today: Partly sunny, with a high near 59. Breezy, with an east wind 20 to 25 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.

Tonight: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 38. Breezy, with an east wind 15 to 20 mph.

Thanksgiving: A 20 percent chance of showers after 10 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 53. East wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Thanksgiving Night: A 20 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 36. East wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph.
