Tehachapi Police Department: Nothing reported.

Bear Valley Springs Police Department:

Nov. 8, 2013

9:47 a.m. Suspicious circumstances reported to be what looked like flares that could be coming from the back side of the mountain. Disposition: Turned over.

10:51 a.m. Auto accident, no injuries/property on Banducci Road. Car has gone over the side but all occupants are out of the car. Disposition: Turned over to CHP.

Kern County Sheriff Tehachapi Substation

Between the morning of Nov. 8 and the morning of Nov. 11, KCSD reported 80 incidents. Four incidents were burglary investigations: Camp Drive in Golden Hills, Tehachapi Mountain Valley Airport, Tehachapi Boulevard/Willow Springs, and Santa Barbara Drive in Goldent Hills. Two separate reports were compiled after a reported theft at Highline Road/Apache Street and a petty theft report on Golden Hills Boulevard. Deputies also investigated a stolen vehicle report on Wade Avenue and a battery report taken at the Bear Valley Police Department. A prowler was also reported on Quail Springs Road in Golden Hills, but subject was gone on arrival.

Stallion Springs Police Department: Nothing reported.

California Highway Patrol: Nothing reported.


Veteran's Day: Sunny, with a high near 74. East southeast wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Tonight: Partly cloudy, with a low around 40. East southeast wind 5 to 10 mph.

Tuesday: Partly sunny, with a high near 72. East wind 5 to 10 mph.

Tuesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 39. West northwest wind 5 to 10 mph.

• The Tehachapi Planning Commission has canceled its November meeting.

• Although the next scheduled meeting for the Tehachapi Airport Commission is Tuesday, Nov. 12, no agenda has been distributed and neither has a notice of adjournment.

• Tehachapi Unified School District board's next scheduled meeting is Tuesday, Nov. 12, at the Claude L. Wells Education Center, 300 S. Robinson St.


Football — Varsity in CIF Division II Playoffs (First Round) this Friday at home against North. Game will start at 7 p.m.

Volleyball — Varsity in CIF Division II Playoffs (Quarterfinals) this Thursday at home against Mt. Whitney. Game will start at 7 p.m.

Cross Country — Varsity/JV at SEYL Championships this Thursday, Nov. 14 at Hart Park – Bakersfield. First Races start at 10:30 a.m.
