Tehachapi Police Department:
Jan. 28, 2014
9:42 a.m. Threats of death/bodily injury. Occurred on West Tehachapi Boulevard. Tehachapi Mini Storage- DP’s property was sold at aution and is upset. DP threaten the reporting person verablly over the phone, stating he has friends in Tehachapi and things can go wrong. Disposition: Negative contact.
6:38 p.m. Disturbing the peace. Occurred on East "I" Street. Female is throwing rocks toward the reporting person's residence and is 415v with the male half who lives with her. Female is outside to the front of the residence kicking the front door. Disposition: Advised.
Bear Valley Springs Police Department:
Jan. 28, 2014
10:15 a.m. Mail theft. Occurred on Rolling Oak Drive. Past mail theft report. Disposition: Report taken.
2:34 p.m. Welfare check request. Occurred on Springwood Court. Check the welfare and open window. Reporting person is concerned that the window is open at the residence. He has not seen his neighbor for a while and that is unusual for him. Disposition: Report taken.
5:32 p.m. Theft of mail. Occurred on North Lower Valley Road. Reporting person was expecting checks in the mail. Disposition: Assisted.
Kern County Sheriff Tehachapi Substation: Between Jan. 28 and the morning of Jan. 29, the Kern County Sheriff's Department responded to 31 incidents, including a grand theft investigation on Highline Road and Tehachapi Willow Springs Road, and a forgery investigation in Golden Hills.
Stallion Springs Police Department: Nothing reported.
California Highway Patrol: Nothing reported.
Today: Sunny, with a high near 65. Breezy, with a west northwest wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.
Tonight: Partly cloudy, with a low around 42. West wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
Thursday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 56. Breezy, with a west wind 20 to 25 mph, with gusts as high as 35 mph.
Thursday Night: A 30 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 34. Windy, with a west northwest wind 20 to 30 mph, with gusts as high as 40 mph.
• The Tehachapi Strings Orchestra is performing at the St. Jude's Anglican Church on Jan. 31.
• The deadline to enter "Taste the Art" at The Art Studio is Feb. 6. the event is scheduled for Feb. 14 from 5 until 6:30 p.m.
