7:30 a.m. Extra patrol at Tompkins Elementary, S Curry Street. Disposition: Checks OK.
10:57 a.m. Extra patrol at Tompkins Elementary, S Curry Street. Disposition: Checks OK.
11:19 a.m. Abandoned vehicle occurred at Cimarron Court and Sutter Street, Tehachapi. Possible abandoned vehicle has been parked for approximately 2 weeks to a month. Disposition: 72-Hour notice.
12:06 p.m. Health and safety occurred at Central Park on East "D" Street. Possible health and safety activity, marijuana. Reporting person sees 5 male juveniles near the swing sets. Disposition: Checks OK.
12:22 p.m. Extra patrol at Tompkins Elementary, S Curry Street. Disposition: Checks OK.
13:02 p.m. Reckless driving occurred on N Mill Street. Cellular E911 Call: Reckless driver, elderly male, parked in the parking lot. Disposition: Advised.
14:14 p.m. Fire occurred at Central Park on East "D" Street. Two female juveniles, sitting on east side of park, lighting the grass on fire and throwing paper to ignite. Disposition: No criminal activity.
15:58 p.m. Petty theft less than $400 occurred on East "F" Street. Stolen bike, suspect is brother, wearing blue jeans and no shirt on a red bike, heading toward city park. Disposition: Report taken.
16:35 p.m. Drunk in public occurred on Aspen Drive. 40-year-old subject has been laying in front of store for about 3 hours. Disposition: Checks OK.
17:35 p.m. Hit and run, property occurred at West "F" and South Curry Streets. Two vehicle collision, white Dodge Ram pulling a black gardening trailer vs white sedan. Disposition: Report taken.
19:01 p.m. Spousal abuse repot occurred on Cherry Lane. reporting party states that she was assaulted and almost run over by her boyfriend. Suspect fled in a newer black Dodge pickup ext cab in custody of his 6 and 7-year-old sons. Disposition: Report Taken.

5:59 a.m. Man down occurred at Hickory Avenue and Cherry Lane. 43-year-old male down in front of driveway, one shoe on, one shoe off. male subj is breathing. Disposition: Male arrested for under the influence of controlled substance.
Bear Valley Springs Police Department: Nothing reported.
Kern County Sheriff Tehachapi Substation: Nothing reported.
Stallion Springs Police Department: Nothing reported.
California Highway Patrol: Nothing reported.

This afternoon: Mostly sunny, with a high near 83. Light northwest wind becoming west northwest 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon.
Tonight: Partly cloudy, with a low around 58. West wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
Friday: Sunny, with a high near 85. West wind 5 to 10 mph.
Friday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 60. West wind 5 to 15 mph.
The rest of the week is forecasted to be mostly sunny, with highs in the upper 80s.

• The Tehachapi City Council will meet Monday, Sept. 16, at 6 p.m. in the Beekay Theatre, 110 S. Green St. One item to be discussed is a proposed spending plan for funds received by the city under Government Code section 30061, the Supplemental Law Enforcement Services Fund.
• A notice of adjournment was issued for the Tuesday, Sept. 10, Airport Commission meeting. The next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 8 at the Pilot's Lounge, 314 N. Hayes St.
• Directors of the Bear Valley Community Services District will meet at 6 p.m. on Sept. 12, at the CSD building, 28999 S. Lower Valley Road.
• On Wednesday, Sept. 18, the Tehachapi Valley Healthcare District will hold its regular board of directors meeting at 6 p.m. as the Golden Hills Community Services District building, 21415 Reeves St. The agenda has not yet been distributed.
