Tehachapi Police Department:

Feb. 28, 2014

1:54 a.m. Disturbing the peace. Occurred at Indian Creek Villas on Tucker Road. Disposition: Checks Ok.

3:06 p.m.Threats of death/ bodily injury. Occurred at Tehachapi Police Department on East "F" Street. Note left on their door with threatening message. Disposition: Advised.

8:04 p.m. Traffic hazard. Officer initiated activity at East "H" Street and Norht Mojave Street. Debris on roadway. Disposition: Situation resolved.

March 1, 2014

12:38 a.m. Disturbing the peace. Occurred on Aspen Drive. Verbal. Disposition: Unable to locate.

6:50 a.m. Vandalism against person or property of another. Occurred at Mulberry Street and Maple Street. Someone has taken a metal post from the park barrier and threw it through the back window of car. Disposition: Assignment completed.

8:49 a.m. Stolen vehicle report. Occurred at The Village Apartments on North Mill Street. Disposition: Report taken.

1:57 p.m. Suspicious circumstances. Occurred at Bank Of The West on Tucker Road. Disposition: Checks Ok.

5:27 p.m. Vandalism against person or property of another. Occurred on North Davis Street. Graffiti/tagging along cinder block walls on the davis side in the alley and across the fence on the house on the fence, also a blue dumpster on the RR property on North Davis. Disposition: Report taken.

March 2, 2014

12:23 a.m. Peace disturbance music. Occurred on South Davis Street. Loud music/party. Disposition: advised.

9:34 a.m. Vandalism against person or property of another. Occurred on Cellini Court. Boulder through the window of vehicle. Disposition: Report taken.

4:00 p.m. Vandalism report. Occurred on Maple Street. Disposition: Assignment Completed.

9:36 p.m. Petty theft less than $400. Occurred at Kmart on West Tehachapi Boulevard. Wallet taken out of reporting person's purse while in the store. Disposition: Report taken.

March 3, 2013

12:30 a.m. Vandalism report. Occurred on Aspen Drive. Locks have been cut to the laundry room door. Disposition: Information Only .

Bear Valley Springs Police Department:

Feb. 28, 2014

11:05 a.m. Vicious, barking, bite, etc. Occurred at South Lower Valley Road and Sheeptrail Drive. Loose great dane in the area, does have a collar. Disposition: Checks Ok.

11:45 a.m. Theft of mail. Occurred on Pinedale Drive. Package was taken from the mailbox. Disposition: Report taken.

12:33 p.m. Vandalism against person or property of another. Occurred at Bear Valley Realty on Bear Valley Road. Bathrooms were vandalized. Disposition: Report taken.

1:30 p.m. Theft of mail. Occurred on Paramount Drive. Theft of package. Disposition: Report taken.

March 1, 2014

12:14 p.m. Traffic stop. Officer initiated activity at E Of Gate, Bear Valley Road. Correct. Disposition: Arrest made.

Kern County Sheriff Tehachapi Substation: Between Feb. 28 and the morning of March 3, the Kern County Sheriff's Department responded to 49 incidents, including a fraud using personal info investigation, burglary investigation, and child endangerment. All three were in Golden Hills.

Stallion Springs Police Department: Nothing reported.

California Highway Patrol: Nothing reported.

Today: Mostly sunny, with a high near 57. Calm wind becoming west northwest around 5 mph in the afternoon.

Tonight: Partly cloudy, with a low around 37. West northwest wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 59. Breezy, with a west northwest wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Tuesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 39. Northwest wind 10 to 15 mph.

UPCOMING EVENTS

• First Friday welcomes March: Come Taste the Butter: First Friday on March 7 features butter making at Tehachapi Community Church, 100 E. East Street, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.

• Let the fiddlin' begin at Carden on March 8: The young fiddlers of Tehachapi will be starting off this year with the Amateur Fiddle Contest held at Carden School of Tehachapi, 20419 Brian Way.  Starting at 8 a.m., contestants will need to register for their chance to hopefully take their position in the First Place spot.  The Amatewur Fiddle Contest is centered on kids that are 18 and under to promote Music and Arts at a young age.

• TCT's 2014 Playwright's Festival begins at the Beekay Theatre on Friday, March 7, at 7:30 p.m. All seats are $10.

4th Annual Stallion Springs "Chilly Dip" at the Stallion Springs Community Services District outdoor swimming pool on Friday, March 7 at 11:30 a.m. The CSD is located at 27800 Stallion Springs Drive.

The Tehachapi Sympthony Orchestra is performing Sunday, March 9, at 4 p.m. at the Country Oaks Baptist Church.

• The Tehachapi City Council is meeting Monday, March 3 at 6 p.m. at the Wells Education Center, 300 S. Robinson St.

• The Tehachapi Unified School District is hosting a special board meeting Monday, March 3, at 6 p.m. at the Wells Education Center, 300 S. Robinson St.

• The Tehachapi Planning Commission next's meeting is scheduled for Monday, March 10, at 6 p.m. at the Wells Education Center, 300 S. Robinson St.
