- The National Weather Service in Hanford has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook and High Wind Advisory for the Tehachapi area and other areas of the Kern County Mountains until 4 p.m. this afternoon.Southerly winds from 25 to 35 mph with gusts to around 55 mph are forecast. Gusty winds may make travel difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Areas of blowing dust with reduced visibility are possible.
- Otherwise, today will be sunny, with a high near 55.Tonight will be clear, with a low around 32.
- No rain or snow is forecast for the next seven days.
• Golden Hills Community Service District Board of Directors, meets tonight at 6:30 p.m. at the Golden Hills CSD building at 21415 Reeves Street.The agenda calls for award of a bid for the Abajo Avenue Transmission Pipeline project.
• Tehachapi City Council meeting originally set for Monday, Jan. 21, has been moved to Tuesday, Jan. 22,
due to the Martin Luther King Day holiday.
