Activity reported by the Tehachapi Police Dept.:

10:53 SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES Occurred on West E St., Tehachapi at 200 Block West E, suspicious vehicle parked in front of 214 W. "E" St., white Dodge van. Subject seen associated with the vehicle, in the past, the occupants go into to apartment complex, unknown which unit. Reporting party states he was told that if subject is in the area to call the P.D. Disposition: Unable to Locate.

12:14 SCHOOL RESOURCE DUTY Officer initiated activity at Cummings Valley Elementary, Bear Valley Rd, Tehachapi. Response to criminal threats by student. Disposition: Report Taken.

12:45  RECKLESS DRIVING  Occurred at West Park on W. "D" St., Tehachapi. Maroon Honda Accord vs white 2 door vehicle racing and reckless driving in the parking lots. Headed east on "D" Street . Disposition: Unable to locate.

13:55 DISTURBING THE PEACE Occurred at The Village Apartments on North Mill St., Tehachapi. Possible use of narcotics creating a disturbance inside location. Disposition: Situation Resolved.

15:54  AUTO ACCIDENT NO INJURIES or PROPERTY DAMAGE Officer initiated activity at Tucker Rd./W. Valley Blvd., Tehachapi. Disposition: Report Taken.

16:39 WELFARE CHECK REQUEST Occurred at Circle K 10 on E. Tehachapi Blvd., Tehachapi. Manager requesting extra patrol. RE: An employee walked into work with bloody face. Disposition: Report Taken.

16:52  WELFARE CHECK REQUEST Occurred at Cherry Lane Apartments on Cherry Ln., Tehachapi. Check on welfare on a possible person that may be a danger to himself or others. Subject an 18 year old male. Subject made very strong suicidal statements with operator advised RE: One suicidal with knife currently not in possession. College Community Services wishing a follow up. Disposition: Report Taken.

18:20 SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES Occurred at Starbucks Coffee, 8726 on Tucker Rd., Tehachapi. Subject harassing customers in the store. Subject left but is possibly in the parking lot. White male with gray pants, green sweater and sunglasses. Disposition: Advised.

19:43 ANY CIVIL PROBLEM Occurred at The Village Apartments on North Mill St., Tehachapi. Reporting party stating her 14 year old daughter was taken by her sister-in-law last night. Disposition: Daughter was returned to mother, no criminal activity.

22:50 SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES Occurred at Kelton St. and West Valley Blvd., Tehachapi. Reporting party states she hears subject making a lot of noises and whistling. Disposition: Unable to Locate.

23:31 CITIZEN REQUESTED ASSISTANCE Occurred at Tehachapi Police Department on E. "F" St., Tehachapi. Reporting party states son, 22 years of age, possibly under the influence of narcotics and threatened to kill her and her husband.  Disposition: Arrest Made. Shawn Patrick Flynn, 22 was arrested on a felony charge of criminal threats.

06:41 POLICE-911 Occurred on E. "E" St, Tehachapi. Female possibly swallowed a piece of glass that was in her bean burrito. Disposition: Assisted.

08:10 AUTO ACCIDENT - NO INJURIES/PROPERTY Occurred at Valley Blvd/Las Colinas St., Tehachapi. Valley Blvd. at Las Colinas two trucks, one black, one grey, Disposition: Report Taken. Property damage only no injuries one vehicle towed.

Bear Valley Police Department: Nothing to report

Stallion Springs Police Department: On Jan. 20 SSPD arrested an adult male for driving under a suspended drivers license. On Jan. 22, the SSPD began an illegal dumping investigation. SSPD discovered who the suspects were two male juveniles, and worked with the victim who opted to have the offenders clean her property instead of prosecution. The police department stated that the juveniles learned a valuable lesson.

Kern County Sheriff Tehachapi Substation: Reported a burglery from a storage unit., A vehicle burglary, Items were stolen from vehicle, and the forgery of a check. All reports were from the Golden Hills area.

California Highway Patrol:  Nothing to report

The National Weather Service in Hanford provides the following forecast for the Tehachap area:

• This afternoon: Showers. Temperature falling to around 47 by 5 p.m. Southeast winds up to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
• Tonight: Showers likely. Cloudy, with a low around 43. Calm wind from the East around 5 mph after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
• Friday: Rain likely. Cloudy with a high near 52. East/Southeast wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts up to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent. New precipitation amounds of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
• Friday Night: Showers are likely with a 60 percent chance. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 38. Calm wind coming from the Northwest around 5 mph in the evening.
• The weekend looks to be a wet one, with precipitation in the forecast until Monday.
