Oct. 16, 2013
7:36 a.m. 911 call occurred on South Robinson Street female is stating her sister is gone-requesting help. Disposition: Checks Ok.
8:20 a.m. Auto accident, no injuries occurred at South Curry Street and Brentwood Drive. White Honda sedan and gray van, no injuries, not blocking the road, glass in the roadway. Disposition: Report taken.
9:12 a.m. Suspicious Circumstances occurred at West "F" Street. Female wearing blue flannel shirt and carrying a duffle bag, was seen screaming and hitting herself. Disposition: Assignment completed.
11:03 a.m. Trespassing occurred West "J" Street. Subject needs to be removed from the property, no known weapons, wearing red pants, black t-shirt. Disposition: Warning.
11:19 a.m. Suspicious Circumstances occurred on Golden West Court.Silver four-door car was parked in front of the residence, three males in the vehicle. Disposition: Unable to locate.
Bear Valley Springs Police Department:
Oct. 16, 2013
12:12 p.m. Theft of mail occurred at Bear Valley Police Department on Bear Valley Road. Package was stolen from reporting party's mail box. Disposition: Report taken.
1:17 p.m. Reckless driving occurred at Bear Valley Road and Deertrail Drive. Report of a utility truck with a scoop driving recklessly. Disposition: Unable to locate.
6:29 p.m. Animal call occurred on El Camino Drive. Wild boars in the backyard. Disposition: Advised.
Oct. 17, 2013
7:12 a.m. Petty theft less than $400 occurred on Serra Place. Packages taken from mailbox. Disposition: Report taken.
10:40 a.m. Animal call occurred at Remington Court and Jacaranda Drive. Team 5 with EOC reporting a dead condor floating in the dip tank, tag number 30. Disposition: Information only.
Kern County Sheriff Tehachapi Substation:
Deputies responded to 18 incidents between Oct. 16 and the morning of Oct. 17, including a petty theft call on Snowshoe Court.
Stallion Springs Police Department: Nothing reported.
California Highway Patrol: Nothing reported.
The National Weather Service in Hanford provides the following forecast for the Tehachapi area:
This afternoon: Sunny, with a high near 67. West northwest wind 10 to 15 mph.
Tonight: Clear, with a low around 42. West northwest wind 5 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
Friday: Sunny, with a high near 72. Light east southeast wind increasing to 10 to 15 mph in the morning.
Friday Night: Clear, with a low around 43. East southeast wind around 5 mph.
The weather should remain clear, with highs in the low 70s an lows in the mid 40s through the end of the weekend.

• The Golden Hills CSD board will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 17, inside the CSD building, 21415 Reeves St.
• The Tehachapi Unified School District Board will hold its scheduled meeting on Oct. 22 at 6 p.m. at the Claude L. Wells Education Center, 300 S. Robinson St.
• The Tehachapi Planning Commission's meeting scheduled for Monday, Oct. 14, has been adjourned until Tuesday, Nov. 12. The November meeting was moved to Tuesday in observance of Veteran's Day.

Football – Varsity/JV vs. Highland at home this Friday, Oct. 18. Frosh vs. Highland at home this Thursday, Oct. 17. Varsity starts at 7:30 p.m. and JV/freshmen starts at 5 p.m.
Volleyball – Varsity defeated North 25-12, 25-11, 25-6. JV defeated North 25-8, 25-10. Frosh-soph defeated North 25-19, 22-25, 15-13, on Tuesday. Varsity/JV/frosh-soph at Foothill on Thursday, Oct.17. Matches start at 6:30 p.m. (Varsity), 5 p.m. (JV) and 4 p.m. (frosh-soph).
Girls Tennis – Garces defeated Varsity 7-2. Garces defeated JV 8-1, on Tuesday. Varsity at SEYL Individual Finals on Thursday-Friday, Oct. 17-18, in Bakersfield.
Cross Country – Varsity/JV vs. North (SEYL dual) on Wednesday, Oct. 16 at Brite Lake. First run starts at 3:30 p.m.
