Tehachapi Police Department:

Oct. 10, 2013

12:24 p.m. Drunk in public at Tehachapi High School. Received call from vice principal, student had been drinking. No criminal activity.

1:13 p.m. Found property occurred at Union Bank of California on Tucker Road. Requesting officer for found deposit of cash. Assignment completed.

1:56 p.m. Auto accident - no injuries/property occurred at Valley Boulevard/ Aspen Drive. Two vehicle accident. Report taken.

2:23 p.m. Pedestrian check at North Davis and West “H” streets. Arrest made.

3:26 p.m. Missing person occurred on Chestnut Court. Foster daughter 12-years-old ran away last seen at 2:30 p.m. today. Possible at Warrior park. Unknown if she has associated friends. Runaway is from a group home from Bakersfield. Boyfriend, dark hair wearing blue jeans gray hoodie white tennis shoes, black back pack. Subject left when she was grounded. Assignment completed.

4:53 p.m. Warrant service on Elm Street. Arrest made.

5:50 p.m. Disturbing the peace occurred on West “I” Street. His ex-wife is arguing with him. Verbal only. He has his six-year-old daughter with him outside. Arrest made.

8:56 p.m. Peace disturbance verbal on North Mill Street. Females standing in and outside of the apartment yelling and cussing at each other, making threats if she doesn't open the door. No further action required.

Bear Valley Springs Police Department: Nothing reported.

Kern County Sheriff Tehachapi Substation:

Deputies responded to 21 incidents between Oct. 10 and the morning of Oct. 11, including one call for grand theft, one for public intoxication and  burglary in the 19000 block of Moon Drive in Golden Hills.

Stallion Springs Police Department: Nothing reported.

California Highway Patrol: Nothing reported.

This afternoon: Sunny, with a high near 65. Northeast wind around 5 mph becoming east southeast in the afternoon.

Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 45. West northwest wind 5 to 10 mph.

Saturday:  Sunny, with a high near 66. West wind 5 to 10 mph.

Saturday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 45. West wind around 15 mph.

Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 63. West northwest wind around 15 mph.

Sunday night: Clear, with a low around 44. North northwest wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph.

• The Tehachapi Planning Commission's meeting scheduled for Monday, Oct. 14, has been adjourned until Tuesday, Nov. 12. The November meeting was moved to Tuesday in observance of Veteran's Day.

• The Tehachapi Valley Recreation and Parks Dept. board of directors will meet at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 15, at the district headquarters, 490 W. "D" St.

* Directors for thte Tehachapi-Cummings County Water District will meet at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 16, at the district headquarters, 22901 Banduccci Road.

• On Wednesday, Oct. 16, the Tehachapi Valley Heathcare District board of directors will meet at the Golden Hills Community Services District, 21415 Reeves St., at 6 p.m.

• The Golden Hills CSD board will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 17, inside the CSD building, 21415 Reeves St.

MOUNTAIN SPORTS THIS WEEK

Football – Varsity at East High on Saturday, Oct. 12, at 3 p.m.  Junior Varsity defeated East on Thursday, 40-13. Freshmen lost to East on Thursday, 34-6.

Volleyball – Varsity defeated East (Tuesday), 25-12, 25-12, 25-10 and Highland (Thursday), 25-21, 25-14, 25-13, JV defeated East (Tuesday), 28-26, 25-19 and Highland (Thursday) 25-12, 25-13, and frosh-soph defeated East (Tuesday), 25-17, 20-25, 15-12 and Highland (Thursday), 25-21, 25-21.

Girls Tennis – Girls Varsity defeated North (Tuesday), 9-0 and Foothill (Thursday), 8-1. Varsity at Lynch Cup on Friday, Oct.11, in Bakersfield.
