Tehachapi Police Department:

Dec. 26, 2013

8:26 a.m. Disobedience of court order. Occurred on Oakwood Street. Ex boyfriend has violated restraining order by calling and texting reporting person. Reporting person has court documents with her. Disposition: Arrest Made.

6:25 p.m. Peace disturbance verbal. Occurred on Cherry Lane. Verbal between neighbors male subject first of is HBD yelling and cursing at reporting person and her children. Disposition: Advised.

10:09 p.m. Petty theft less than $400. Occurred at Kmart on West Tehachapi Boulevard. Soccer bag was taken from 2000 silver Ford Escort that was parked in the parking lot. There are suspicious male subject who appear homeless wearing dark clothing one has a pit bull and one is on a bicycle.  The subject with the pit bull is inside of Burger king. Disposition: Report Taken.

Bear Valley Springs Police Department:

Dec. 26, 2013

3:43 p.m. Suspicious vehicle. Occurred at Starland Drive and Deertrail Drive. Suspicious vehicle driving slow by residence. Vehicle is a silver Honda Accord, four door, tinted windows, LS EB STARLAND DRIVER M/A. Disposition: Unable to Locate.

4:42 p.m. Vicious, barking, bite, etc. Occurred on Lakeview Drive. Barking dog. Disposition: Information Only.

Kern County Sheriff Tehachapi Substation: Between Dec. 26 and the morning of Dec. 27, the Kern County Sheriff's Department responded to 17 incidents, including a grand theft investigation in Golden Hills.

Stallion Springs Police Department: Nothing reported.

California Highway Patrol: Nothing reported.


Today: Mostly sunny, with a high near 64. East wind around 10 mph.

Tonight: Partly cloudy, with a low around 40. North northwest wind around 5 mph.

Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 63. North wind 5 to 10 mph.

Saturday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 38. Northeast wind around 5 mph.


• 12 Angry Jurors at the Phoenix Theater at 8 p.m. on Dec. 27 through Dec. 29. Tickets are $20/$15.


No meetings are being held this week.


Boys Soccer — No games scheduled this week. Varsity/Jayvee next contest will be on Friday, Jan. 3 at Paraclete – Lancaster Soccer Complex. Varsity/Jayvee to start at 3:15 p.m.

Girls Soccer — No games scheduled this week. Varsity/Jayvee next contest will be on Friday, Jan. 3 vs. Paraclete at home – Coy Burnett Field. Varsity will start at 4:30 p.m. and Jayvee will start at 3 p.m.

Wrestling — Varsity at Lemoore Bash on Friday-Saturday, Dec. 27-28.

Boys Basketball — Varsity at Garces Holiday Tournament (Garces HS) on Monday, Dec. 30 against Bakersfield Christian. Tip off will be at 10:30 a.m.

Girls Basketball — No games scheduled this week. Varsity/Jayvee next non-league contest will be on Tuesday, Jan. 7 vs. California City at home. Varsity will be at 6 p.m. and Jayvee will be at 3 p.m. Jayvee will also be at Shafter Winter Shootout on Thursday, Jan. 2. Frosh-Soph will be at Arvin Tournament on Tuesday, Jan. 7.
