Tehachapi Police Department:

Dec. 14, 2013

1:08 p.m. Warrant service at North Robinson Street. Disposition: Arrest made.

4:56 p.m. Hazardous material found at church on Maple Street. Hipodermic needles found in the driveway off the alley. Subject put needles in plastic grocery bags. Disposition: Assignment completed.

Dec. 15, 2013

9:57 a.m. Burglary report. Occurred at The Village Apartments on North Mill Street. No one was staying there last night and the whole apartment was trashed. Disposition: Report taken.

7:52 p.m. Peace disturbance verbal. Occurred on Redwood Court. Reporting person and her husband were in a verbal, requesting counsel. Disposition: No criminal activity.

Dec. 16, 2013

8:28 a.m. Follow up. Officer initiated activity at Tehachapi High School on South Dennison Road. Petty theft investigation. Disposition: Arrest made.

Bear Valley Springs Police Department:

Dec. 13, 2013

10:18 a.m. Theft of mail on San Juan Drive. Disposition: Report taken.

10:27 a.m. Theft of mail reported at Bear Valley Police Department. Disposition: Report taken.

1:20 p.m. Petty theft less than $400 on Butterfield Way. Theft of mail. Disposition: Report taken.

3:42 p.m. Theft of mail reported at police department. Disposition: Report taken.

4:55 p.m. Auto accident with no injuries/property at business on Tucker Road. Disposition: Assignment completed.

Dec. 14, 2013

9:50 a.m. Theft of mail on Saddleback Drive. Missing checks and lots of miscellaneous mail. Disposition: Report taken.

6:12 p.m. Burglary of inhabited residence on Bear Valley Road/Serra Place. Home has been in bankruptcy and vacant for several years, there is now a truck with a trailer parked at the residence and a subject with a flashlight is inside. Disposition: Checks OK.

Kern County Sheriff Tehachapi Substation:

Between Dec. 13 and the morning of Dec. 16, the Kern County Sheriff's Department responded to 58 incidents, including a theft investigation on Oak Court/Hart Oaks Drive, a spousal battery investigation on Neely Avenue, and a burglary investigation in Alpine Forest.

Stallion Springs Police Department: Nothing reported.

California Highway Patrol: Nothing reported.

WEATHER FORECAST

Today: Mostly sunny, with a high near 71. East southeast wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Tonight: Partly cloudy, with a low around 42. East wind around 15 mph.

Tuesday: Partly sunny, with a high near 66. East southeast wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph.

Tuesday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 43. Southeast wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.

Although Wednesday looks to be a repeat of Tuesday, showers and even some snow are forecasted for Thursday, before skies clear off again on Friday.

• The next City Council meeting is scheduled for Monday, Dec. 16, 6 p.m. at the Wells Education Center, 300 S. Robinson St.

• Stallion Springs Community Services District will hold its board of directors meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 17, 6 p.m. at 27800 Stallion Springs Dr.

• The Tehachapi Valley Healthcare District will host its monthly board meeting on Wednesday, Dec. 18 at 6:30 p.m. at the Golden Hills Community Services District, 21415 Reeves St.

• The Tehachapi-Cummings County Water District’s next board meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 18 at 4 p.m. at 22901 Banducci Road.

• Golden Hills Community Services District is hosting its next board meeting on Thursday, Dec. 19 at 5:30 p.m. at 21415 Reeves St.
