6:16 p.m. Shots fired/heard. Occurred on West "I" Street. Cellular E911 Call: Lat:35.13461  Lon:-118.4495 Service Class: WPH2 one shot heard a few minutes ago/ smaller caliber possibly coming from the trailer park behind the reporting person off of curry. Disposition: Arrest Made warrant.

Bear Valley Springs Police Department:

Dec. 24, 2013

10:13 a.m. Theft of mail. Timberline Way. Occurred on Timberline Way. Lower Valley/Timberline. Disposition: Report Taken.

10:30 a.m. Theft of mail. Occurred on Greenwater Drive. Disposition: Report Taken.

11:56 a.m. Theft of mail. Occurred on Homestead Way. Disposition: Report Taken.

11:59 a.m. Theft of mail. Occurred on Greenwater Drive. 2 packages, Rolling Oak/Greenwater.  Disposition: Report Taken.

Kern County Sheriff Tehachapi Substation: Nothing reported.

Stallion Springs Police Department: Nothing reported.

California Highway Patrol: Nothing reported.


Today: Sunny, with a high near 59. Breezy, with an east southeast wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.

Tonight: Clear, with a low around 38. East southeast wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Friday: Sunny, with a high near 63. East southeast wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Friday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 39. East southeast wind 5 to 10 mph becoming light south southeast in the evening.

Boys Soccer — No games scheduled this week. Varsity/Jayvee next contest will be on Friday, Jan. 3 at Paraclete – Lancaster Soccer Complex. Varsity/Jayvee to start at 3:15 p.m.

Girls Soccer — No games scheduled this week. Varsity/Jayvee next contest will be on Friday, Jan. 3 vs. Paraclete at home – Coy Burnett Field. Varsity will start at 4:30 p.m. and Jayvee will start at 3 p.m.

Wrestling — Varsity at Lemoore Bash on Friday-Saturday, Dec. 27-28.

Boys Basketball — Varsity at Garces Holiday Tournament (Garces HS) on Monday, Dec. 30 against Bakersfield Christian. Tip off will be at 10:30 a.m.

Girls Basketball — No games scheduled this week. Varsity/Jayvee next non-league contest will be on Tuesday, Jan. 7 vs. California City at home. Varsity will be at 6 p.m. and Jayvee will be at 3 p.m. Jayvee will also be at Shafter Winter Shootout on Thursday, Jan. 2. Frosh-Soph will be at Arvin Tournament on Tuesday, Jan. 7.
