The latest news - The lady Warriors' basketball team's run through the state playoffs came to an abrupt end after falling to No. 5  Reseda, 57-40 on the road last Wednesday. Meanwhile, the Warriors' swimmers began their season this month with a pair of meets, taking on Burroughs and West in pre-season action. AND… the sun is out and expected to last through the weekend.

10:46 DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE Occurred at Post Office on Voyager Dr. Driver ran several stop signs downtown, entered the post office parking lot on the wrong side of the road and is now in parking lot. White Ford F250 with lumber rack. Male subject still inside. Unfounded.

13:53 SUBPOENA SERVICE ATTEMPT Officer initiated activity at Kmart on West Tehachapi Blvd.

18:25 WELFARE CHECK REQUEST Occurred on Maple St. Called stated he heard two male subjects talking that they has just stabbed four Hispanic males in the alley behind. Disposition: Unfounded.

23:46 911-HANG UP Occurred at Fairfield Inn & Suites By Marriott on West Tehachapi Blvd. Hold music on the line.

01:35 CITIZEN REQUESTED ASSISTANCE Occurred on West “E” St. Female has fallen in the bathroom, stating no injuries, front door unlocked. Medical entry.

10:42 TRAFFIC HAZARD Occurred at Love's Truck Stop on East Tehachapi Blvd. On ramp one of the green closing gates keeps swinging across the traffic lane. Reporting party has temporarily secured it but it keeps coming loose. Dispatch advised. Turn over to Cal Trans

11:08 POLICE-911 Occurred at Rite Aid on Tucker Rd. Cashier just hit the robbery alarm button by accident. No call from the alarm company at this time.

12:29 VANDALISM AGAINST PERSON OR PROPERTY OF ANOTHER Occurred at Central Park on East “D” St. Red paint poured over the play equipment, shoe prints leading to the dumpsters in the back alley where the paint cans are.

12:42 BURGLARY ALARM Occurred on Michelle Lane. Patio door. False alarm.

12:59 DISOBEDIENCE OF COURT ORDER Occurred on South Pauley St. Has been violating a restraining order by sending the reporting party texts and filing his unemployment.

13:09 DISTURBING THE PEACE Occurred on West “E” St. and 200 block of South Curry just south of Jake’s Steakhouse. Male subject yelling profanities at an unknown subject, black male, white tank blue jeans.

13:12 DEFRAUDING AN INNKEEPER Occurred at Denny’s on Magellan Dr. Group of five white, black and Hispanic subjects left in a black vehicle southbound from the restaurant without paying the $60 bill.

13:40 SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES Occurred on West “E” St. Black male subject undressing, doing pushups in the street and running east on West “E” St. toward Curry. Unable to locate.

14:24 ASSIST OTHER AGENCIES Occurred at Tucker Rd. and West Tehachapi Blvd. Three to four subjects walking westbound on the tracks. One wearing a red sweater. Unable to locate.

15:19 WELFARE CHECK REQUEST Occurred on East “I” St. Subject passed out on the stairs with a bottle of liquor. Black male in his 40s, wearing a white tank top and black beanie. Assisted.

18:24 WELFARE CHECK REQUEST Occurred on Golden Hills Blvd. Kern County Sheriff’s Unit not responding to radio.

19:42 TRAFFIC STOP Officer initiated activity at Love's Truck Stop on East Tehachapi Blvd. Warning

20:00 PARKED VEHICLE Officer initiated activity at Jonathan Pl. and Elm St. Unoccupied, checks OK.

21:37 SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE Occurred at Tehachapi Police Department on East “F” St. Unoccupied utility van with all doors open in the parking lot east of station.

21:50 BICYCLIST Officer initiated activity at East Tehachapi Blvd. and South Green St.

22:28 SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES Occurred on Valley Blvd. Passed occurrence. Unknown subject hiding in the bushes, described as a male wearing a hat and dark sweater. No further information.

CIVIC CALENDAR

The Community Emergency Response Team course sponsored by the Golden Hills CERT, begins tonight, and runs for eight-weeks on Monday nights from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. at the Church of the Nazarene on Highline Rd.

The Tehachapi Unified School District Board of Trustees will hold a regular meeting on Tuesday, March 12, at 6 p.m. at the Claude L. Wells Education Center located at 300 S. Robinson St.

The Tehachapi Valley Recreatrion and Parks Board of Directors will hold a special meeting on Tuesday, March 12, at 5:30 p.m. at 490 West "D" St.

The board of directors for the Abernathy Collegiate Charter School will meet on Thursday, March 14 at 6 p.m. at 1049 South Curry St.
