Tehachapi Police Department:

Sept. 26, 2013

8:48 a.m. Major traffic accident at Cummings Valley Road. Subject is trapped inside a vehicle and liquid is leaking. Disposition: Assisted.

9:25 a.m. Trespassing at East Tehachapi Boulevard/Highway 58. Train will be stopping at underpass because of an unknown number of trespassers on the train, 40 cars back from the head engine. Disposition: Arrest made.

12:25 p.m. Auto accident - no injuries or property damage - at Valley Boulevard/Tucker Road. A 1993 green BMW versus a 2001 gray Honda Prelude. Vehicles are not blocking traffic. Disposition: Report taken.

4:46 p.m. Health and safety check at Mulberry Street/West "D" Street. Disposition: Arrest made.

Sept. 27, 2013

9:28 a.m. Found property at Jacobsen Middle School. Bullet turned in. Disposition: Advised.

8:05 p.m. Burglary, inhabited, at Tehachapi Willow Springs Road/East Tehachapi Boulevard. Gate is open. Disposition: Report taken.

Sept. 28, 2013

4:50 p.m. Verbal peace disturbance at North Robinson Street. Three males fighting, yelling, but seems argument is just verbal. Disposition: Arrest made.

11:14 p.m. Traffic stop at South Lower Valley Road. Disposition: Arrest made.

Sept. 29, 2013

11:31 a.m. Officer initiated follow up activity at East "H" Street. Disposition: Arrest made.

3:40 p.m. Disobedience of court order on East "E" Street. Reporting party called 911 on behalf of her son, who has a protection order against a female. Female is walking up and down the street in front of Tehachapi Hospital. Disposition: Arrest made.

5:34 p.m. Driving under the influence on Steuber Road. Transferred from CHP. New model black Chevy Malibu with an Arizona plate. Reporting party and another dirver were almost run off the road. Disposition: Advised.

6:08 p.m. Suspicious circumstances reported at North Curry Street/West "H" Street. White Ford pickup parked on Curry with a deceased dog in the bed. The pickup truck was found to be a stolen vehicle from Bakersfield. The truck had license plates on nit that were from a vehicle stolen in Lynwood. No obvious cause of death of the small dog found in the truck bed. Disposition: Report taken.

8:54 p.m. Disturbing the peace at business on Aspen Drive. Male subject took his shirt and is inciting the reporting party's father to fight. Disposition: Arrest made. NOTE: Four people were arrested: Daniel Escutia, 25, arrested for possession of a deadly weapon with intent to commit an assault and contributing to the delinquency of a minor; Joseph Charles Hubbard, 20, arrested for possession of a deadly weapon with intent to commit an assault and contributing to the delinquency of a minor; Skylar Daniel Heath, 18, arrested for  possession of a deadly weapon with intent to commit an assault, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and possession of a controlled substance; 17-year-old male arrested for possession of deadly weapon with intent to commit an assault.

Bear Valley Springs Police Department:

Sept. 27, 2013

8:16 a.m. Animal call on Deertrail Drive. Wild boar damage to man's property. Disposition: Advised.

10:57 a.m. Animal call on Pioneer Court; more boar activity reported. Disposition: Information only.

11:03 a.m. Warrant service on Columbia Way. Disposition: Arrest made.

1:38 p.m. Suspicious circumstances on Deertrail Drive. Front door was open upon woman's return. Disposition: Assignment completed.

Sept. 28, 2013

7:22 a.m. Fire at Caliente. Caller could see smoke above his ranch in the Caliente area. Disposition: Turned over.

11:14 p.m. Traffic stop at South Lower Valley Road. Disposition: Arrest made.

Kern County Sheriff Tehachapi Substation: Nothing reported.

Stallion Springs Police Department: Nothing reported.

California Highway Patrol: Nothing reported.

The National Weather Service in Hanford provides the following forecast for the Tehachapi area:

This afternoon: Sunny, with a high near 73. West northwest wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 46. Breezy, with a west northwest wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 72. West northwest wind 10 to 15 mph.

Tuesday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 46. West northwest wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Highs in the 70s the next few days and lows around 40, with skies remaining sunny and mostly clear.
