Nov. 27, 2013

2:14 p.m. Stolen vehicle report on East "J" Street. Reporting parties came home from vacation and there is a vehicle parked in the back yard. Disposition: Report taken.

2:14 p.m. Burglary report on Tucker Road. Disposition: Report taken.

3:31 p.m. Unknown situation on Tucker Road. Male subject with a bat in his hand and throwing up his arms appears to be under the influence. Is walking eastbound from Starbucks near an empty lot. Disposition: Arrest made.

5:24 p.m. Traffic stop at West Tehachapi Boulevard. Disposition: Arrest made.

Nov. 28, 2013

9:17 a.m. Traffic stop at Beech Street/Brentwood Drive. Disposition: Arrest made.

9:51 a.m. Grand theft of $400 or more on South Curry Street. Someone just robbed reporting party's house, and disturbing party left headed toward Golden Hills, on foot, male and female. Disposition: Report taken.

7:02 p.m. Burglary report on South Robinson Street. Broke through window with a brick, within the last four hours. Disposition: Report taken.

10:11 p.m. Hit and run/property at business on Tucker Road. Sometime within the last two and a half hours, the reporting party's vehicle was damaged; note was left with no name/number. Disposition: Report taken.

Nov. 29, 2013

12:54 p.m. Driving under the influence at business on Tucker Road. Disposition: Checks OK.

1:37 p.m. Traffic stop at business on West Tehachapi Boulevard. Disposition: Arrest made.

Nov. 30, 2013

10:15 a.m. Warrant service at motel on East Tehachapi Boulevard. Disposition: Arrest made.

11:31 a.m. Battery on Arabian Drive at residence. Disposition: Arrest made.

6:21 p.m. Shots fired/heard at apartments on East Sutter Street. Single shot was heard. Disposition: Turned over.

6:29 p.m. Petty theft less than $400 reported at police department. Reporting party's daughter's phone was taken today at Kmart. Disposition: Report taken.

9:04 p.m. Shots fired/heard on Canyon Drive East. Three shots were heard northwest of the reporting party's location. Disposition: Unable to locate.

Dec. 1, 2013

4:09 a.m. Receive, etc., known stolen property at South Green Street/East "D" Street. Disposition: Arrest made.

3:57 p.m. Petty theft report on Peach Blossom Lane. Reporting party has been gone and during absence theft occurred. Disposition: Report taken.

Bear Valley Springs Police Department:

Nov. 28, 2013

9:15 a.m. Suspicious circumstances reported at Bear Valley Police Department. Reporting party believes neighbor poisoned her dog. Disposition: Advised.

Nov. 30, 2013

12:06 p.m. Petty theft less than $400 on Laveview Drive. Brother left a drill in a truck. Disposition: No further action required.

7:35 p.m. Driving under the influence at Bear Valley Road/Deertrail Drive. Disposition: Arrest made.

Dec. 1, 2013

10:16 a.m. Burglary report on Stirrup Way; occurred between Oct. 1 and 28. A mortgage company changed the locks without permission. A company entered the home to "winterize" the property and since that time the alarm systems were tampered with and several tools and miscellaneous property was taken. Disposition: Information only.

10:44 a.m. Driving under the influence on Beary Valley Road. Female smells of alcohol. Disposition: Arrest made.

Kern County Sheriff Tehachapi Substation:

Between Nov. 27 and the morning of Dec. 2, the Kern County Sherriff's Department responded to 104 incidents, including a criminal threats investigation on Cherry Lane, a theft investigation in Golden Hills, public intoxication on Abajo Avenue, a burglary investigation in Golden Hills, a petty theft investigation in Alpine Forest and a burglary investigation in Golden Hills.

Stallion Springs Police Department: Nothing reported.

California Highway Patrol: Nothing reported.


Today: Sunny, with a high near 61. West northwest wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Tonight: Increasing clouds, with a low around 38. West northwest wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Tuesday: A chance of rain showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 45. Breezy, with a west wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent.

Tuesday night: A chance of rain and snow showers. Cloudy, then gradually becoming partly cloudy, with a low around 27. Blustery, with a west northwest wind 15 to 25 mph, with gusts as high as 35 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent.

A slight chance of snow is forecasted for Wednesday, but skies will clear by the end of the week. High temperatures will remain in the low-to-mid-30s, with lows dipping to around 20.

Tehachapi City Council will hold its regular meeting at 6 p.m. Monday, Dec. 2, at the Wells Education Center, 300 S. Robinson St.

• The Local Agency Formation Commission will reconsider its decision to recognize four services of the Golden Hills Community Services District, including solid waste handling, on Wednesday, Dec. 4, at 5 p.m. in the Board of Supervisors Chambers, 1115 Truxtun Ave., Bakersfield.


Boys Basketball – Varsity/JV/ Freshmen vs. Burroughs at home on Tuesday, Dec. 3. Game will start at 6:30 p.m. (varsity), 5:15 p.m. (JV) and 4 p.m. (freshmen).
