Tehachapi Police Department:

Feb. 19, 2014

12:45 a.m. Traffic Stop. Officer initiated activity at Highway 58 and North Mill Street. Disposition: Arrest made.

3:16 a.m. Suspicious Person. Occurred at Love's Truck Stop on E. Tehachapi Boulevard. Suspect was walking around yelling and screaming, no weapons seen. Disposition: Checks Ok. 

10:46 a.m. Burglary Report. Occured at Bank of the West on Tucker Road. Night deposit box was tampered with. Disposition: Report taken.

11:35 a.m. Petty Theft Report. Occurred on Elm Street. Disposition: Report taken.

Bear Valley Springs Police Department:

Feb. 19, 2014

5:37 p.m. Traffic stop. Officer initiated activity at Cummings Valley Elementary School. Bear Valley Road. Disposition: Arrest Made.

8:00 p.m. Traffic stop. Officer initiated activity at Bear Valley Road and Sageland Court. Disposition: Moving Violation Cite. 

Kern County Sheriff Tehachapi Substation: Between Feb. 19 and the morning of Feb. 20, the Kern County Sheriff's Department responded to 22 incidents, including a stolen vehicle investigation at Old Town Road in Golden Hills,  peace disturbance at the Golden Hills Motel and two traffic stops resulting in citations.

Stallion Springs Police Department: Nothing reported.

California Highway Patrol: Nothing reported.

Today: Mostly sunny, with a high near 56. East southeast wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Tonight: Partly cloudy, with a low around 39. West northwest wind around 5 mph.

• Ernest Troost, award-winning singer-songwriter is playing at Fiddlers Crossing on Saturday, Feb. 22, starting at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $15.

• A Company of Wayward Saints at the Beekay Theatre on Friday, Feb. 21 and Saturday, Feb. 22 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $15. A performance on Sunday, Feb. 23 begins at 2 p.m.

• Ballroom Dancing at West Park Activities Center every Monday, starting Feb. 24. Beginners classes start start at 6:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Intermediate classes go from 7:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Classes cost $50 per person for six one-hour classes.

• The Golden Hills Community Services Distrct's next board meeting is slated for Thursday, Feb. 20 at 6:30 p.m. at the district's headquarters, 21415 Reeves St.
