The latest news - David Partovi the 78-year-old man accused of raping a female victim in his Golden Hills garage is scheduled to be arraigned this morning in Kern County Superior Court in Mojave.

12:18 a.m. Shots fired/heard occurred at South Mill Street and West “A” Street. One shotgun shot heard. Unable to locate.
12:42 a.m. Flag down at South Curry and West “F” Street. Regarding shots heard. Unable to locate.
12:23 pm.m Traffic stop at Pinon Street. Arrest made.
2:40 P.M. Fire occurred on Michael Avenue. Residential tree on fire. Referred to other agency.
4:15 p.m. Disturbing the peace occurred on East “E” Street. Fight between male and female - verbal in front of residence. Arrest made.
8:54 p.m. Petty theft report occurred on South Green Street. Male came into the theatre and snuck into the back stock room and attempted to take items then ran in unknown direction when confronted by management. Unable to locate.
Bear Valley Springs Police Department:
Sept. 5, 2013
8:09 a.m. Burglary occurred on Columbia Court. Cell phone missing since labor day. Report taken.
12:14 p.m. Follow up on Serra Place. Arrest made.
3:33 p.m. Animal call occurred on Bear Valley Road. Elk in roadway. Information only.
Kern County Sheriff Tehachapi Substation: Nothing reported.
Stallion Springs Police Department: Nothing reported.
California Highway Patrol: Nothing reported.

• Due to a lack of agenda items, the Tehachapi City Council will not hold its regular meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 3, but will instead adjourn until Monday, Sept. 16, at 6 p.m. in the Beekay Theatre, 110 S. Green St. One item to be discussed is a proposed spending plan for funds received by the city under Government Code section 30061, the Supplemental Law Enforcement Services Fund.
• The Tehachapi Unified School Distrcit Board of Trustees will meet at 6 p.m. on Sept. 10, at the Claude Wells Education Center, 300 S. Robinson St.
• Directors of the Bear Valley Community Services District will meet at 6 p.m. on Sept. 12, at the CSD building, 28999 S. Lower Valley Road.
