The latest news - A Ridgecrest man was arrested yesterday after he led Sheriff's deputies on a vehicle pursuit. Deputies found 27-year-old Michael Pate was in possession of $2,500 worth of methamphetamine. Read more HERE.

Tehachapi Police Department:

Jan. 30, 2014

10:54 a.m. Unauthorized use of personal info. Occurred at Tehachapi Police Department on East "F" St. Bank fraud. Disposition: Report taken.

11:19 a.m. Trespassing. Occurred on North Curry Street. The house was boarded up a few months ago, the back door plywood is off - there has been transients entering the home what seems to be on Friday nights. Reporting person believes no one is in side. Disposition: Checks ok.

1:56 p.m. Burglary; inhabited. Occurred at Kmart on West Tehachapi Boulevard. Fmale I/C, in loss prevention office. Disposition: Arrest made.

Bear Valley Springs Police Department:

Jan. 30, 2014

1:36 p.m. Theft of mail. Occurred on Owl Court. Medicine taken from the mail box. Reporting person wishes no contact only wants to report the incident. Disposition: Assignment Completed.

3:48 p.m. Hit and run/property. Occurred at Deertrail Drive and Springwood Court. Silver late 90s Toyota Tacoma vs ut pole left loc. Disposition: Report taken.

Kern County Sheriff Tehachapi Substation: Nothing reported.

Stallion Springs Police Department: Nothing reported.

California Highway Patrol: Nothing reported.
