Thursday, June 26, 2014

12:07 a.m. Parked vehicle, officer initiated activity at South Green Street.  Vehicle that has an open trunk. Disposition: Assignment completed.

2:03 a.m. Burglary alarm, occurred on North Mill Street. Coming from the east, beam responsible pending.  Disposition: False Alarm.

2:34 a.m. Out for investigation, officer initiated activity at Commercial Way. Access gate is wide open into the airport.  Disposition: Assignment completed.

4:45 a.m. Auto accident, no injuries/property, occurred at East Tehachapi Boulevard/Highway 58. Two big rigs.  Disposition: Report taken.

4:49 a.m. Burglary inhabited, occurred at Indian Creek Villas on Tucker Road. Enter the residence through a window and took reporting party's cell phone.  Disposition: Situation resolved.

9:34 a.m. Parked vehicle, officer initiated activity at Tucker Road, Tehachapi. Illegally parked truck in sail through. Disposition: Advised.

11:35 a.m. Vandalism report, occurred on South Green Street. Windshield of 2002 Kia Rio was smashed sometime over the night, vehicle was parked in the alley.  Disposition: Report Taken.

11:42 a.m. Hit and run, property,  occurred on Bogie Street. Reporting party was involved in a  hit and run, no injuries at approximately 10:30 hours at Fastrip , requesting officer on scene at the residence. Disposition: Report taken.

12:59 p.m. Trespassing, occurred on East "E" Street. Several other subjects loitering in the reporting party's yard, refusing to leave after being asked.  Disposition: No further action required.

2:24 p.m. Citizen requested assistance, occurred at West "J" Street/North Curry Street.  Keeps walking away and reporting party cannot control her, requesting help. Female is  wearing blue shirt and camel pants.  Disposition: Situation resolved.

2:41 p.m. Welfare check request, occurred at Best Western Mountain Inn on West Tehachapi Boulevard. Male  customer  who is publicly intoxicated is occupying room. Disposition: Checks OK.

3:02 p.m. Vandalism report, occurred on Fig Drive. Someone slit reporting party's tire on the trailer. Disposition: Report Taken.

3:48 p.m. Petty theft report, occurred at Tehachapi Police Department on West "C" Street.  Reporting party's prescription was picked up from RiteAid by an unknown subject.  Disposition: Civil problem.

4:42 p.m.  Reckless driving, motorcycle driving recklessly westbound on Tehachapi Boulevard. Disposition: Gone on arrival.

6:21 p.m. Missing person locate, occurred at Tehachapi Police Department on West "C" Street. Regarding three male juveniles drinking in the skate park. Disposition: Report taken.

6:23 p.m. Molestation report, occurred at Tehachapi Hospital on West "E" Street. Possible sexual molestation. Disposition: Report taken.

7:07 p.m.Out of control juvenile, occurred at  West "F" Street. Reporting party was driving back to South Carolina. Son  was sitting in the back of the sitting and ran out of the car from the gas station because he is mad at mother because they are moving  - - history of  being mentally unstable.. Disposition: Turn over to Mental Evaluation Unit.

9:44 p.m. Unauthorized use of personal info, occurred on Tucker Road. Someone made multiple purchases on her credit card, requesting officer to call  her. Disposition: No further action required.

10:06 p.m.  Peace disturbance, musical, occurred on East "I" Street. Loud music. Disposition: Unfounded.

11:45 p.m. Assist other agencies, occurred on Piedra Drive. Peace disturbance, family. Disturbing party possibly under influence of meth. One Kern County Sheriff's unit en route.  Disposition: Assisted.

8:14 a.m. Animal call, occurred on Skyline Drive. Reporting bear in the back yard, drinking water not aggressive. Disposition: No further action required.

10:57 a.m. Assist other agencies, occurred on Homestead Way, they are attempting to locate a suicidal subject. Heard was en route to Bakersfield for doctor's appointment, sent message to wife saying he wanted to kill self. Driving a white Chevy or GMC cab pickup with camper shell. Disposition: Unable to locate.

2:30 p.m. Any civil problem, occurred on Sunland Way. Reporting party is not on scene, requesting contact via telephone. Requesting council regarding her roommate. Disposition: Advised.

2:56 p.m. Traffic hazard, occurred at Dart Drive/Cumberland Road,. Two juveniles parked in the roadway looking at elk appear to be  disturbing the elk. Juvenile urinating in the street. Disturbing party driving a late Chevy. One wearing jeans, white shirt, baseball hat, and other a blue shirt with cowboy hat. Disposition: Gone on arrival.

Kern County Sheriff's Department: Data unavailable at this time.

California Highway Patrol: Nothing to report.

Tonight: Clear, with a low around 56. Windy, with a west northwest wind 20 to 30 mph, with gusts as high as 45 mph.

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 83. Breezy, with a west northwest wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

•, where Jesus is always online is the theme of this year’s Vacation Bible School program at Good Shepherd Lutheran. The McAvoy family from Arizona will lead VBS with their high energy fun. VBS will run June 23 through 27 from 9 to 11:30 a.m., for ages kindergarten through 6th grade. Good Shepherd is located at 329 S. • The Bear Valley Springs Cultural Arts Association will present Bear Valley’s own Dan Bronson in a lecture entitled "Chasing the Rainbow." This lecture will take place on Saturday, June 28, from 4 to 5:30 p.m., at the Equestrian Center in Bear Valley. Refreshments will be served, but reservations are required. Call Jeanette at 972-2344 or Nilly at 821-1587 for reservations and gate passes by June 18.


• Bear Valley Community Services District's board of directors meets at 6 p.m. on Thursday, June 26 at 6 p.m. at 28999 South Lower Valley Road. The board will also meet for a special strategic planning session on Friday, June 27 at 9 a.m. at the same location.

• Tehachapi Police Department's grand opening of its new station begins at 11 a.m. on June 27 with a ribbon cutting, followed by an open house and tour from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. A second-chance tour is available on June 28 from 9 a.m. to noon.
