1:26 a.m. Disturbing the peace, occurred on Pepper Drive. Subjects in the park behind the reporting party's residence. Disposition: Quiet on departure.

3:01 a.m. Burglary alarm, occurred on Pam Court. General burglary alarm, KCSO unit en route. Disposition: Assisted.

8:30 a.m. Traffic hazard, occurred at Love's Truck Stop on East Tehachapi Boulevard. Big rig is backed into the fire zone.  Disposition: Advised.

11:49 a.m. Keep the peace, occurred on East "F" Street. Keep the peace in the parking lot in near the old police department, regarding child exchange 6 years old, exchange is at noon. Girlfriend drives a Suzuki Areo, reporting party drives white 2010 Dodge. Disposition: No further action required .

1:17 p.m. Fraud using personal information, occurred at Tehachapi Police Department on West "C" Street. Disposition: Report taken.

2:02 p.m. Traffic stop, officer initiated activity at Fast Trip, Tucker Road. Disposition: Arrest made.

4:30 p.m. Assault,  occurred on Acacia Court. Reporting party has been kicked out of her grandma's house, she does not know her location and was assaulted by her father, grabbed her hair and grabbed her arm, declined medical aid. Disposition: Unfounded.

6:42 p.m.  Vicious, barking, biting, ect., occurred on Valley Boulevard. The reporting party's dog got out of yard, bit someone on bike path. The victim had to leave, but exchanged info with reporting party. Reporting party would like counsel re this situation. Disposition: Turn over to.


July 14, 2014

3:55 a.m. Assist other agencies, officer initiated activity at East Tehachapi Boulevard/South Snyder Avenue. Disposition: Assisted.

3:59 a.m. Suspicious person, occurred on South Pauley Street. Subject on foot in area with flashlight on Pauley, by corner at "E" Street. Disposition: Checks OK.

5:52 a.m. Water department service, occurred on Apple Way. Water shooting up from next door neighbor's yard. House has recently been sold, but currently vacant. Disposition: Turn over to.

7:23 a.m. Warrant service, officer initiated activity at Sierra Ridge Apartments, East Sutter Street. Disposition: Negative contact.

7:32 a.m. Warrant service, officer initiated activity at Mulberry Villa Apartments, West "E" Street. Disposition: Negative contact.

8:09 a.m. Flag down, officer initiated activity at Red Apple Avenue/Reeves Street. Disposition: Information only.

9:07 a.m. Parked vehicle, occurred at Mobile Estates Park on South Dennison Road. Motor home has been parked on Dennison a few days, beige with brown stripes. Was parked on the Dennison near the gas meters. The park-manager would like it moved. Reporting party is not at office. Warned not to park in the motor home in the park area by the manager. Disposition: Checks OK.

9:59 a.m. Vicious, barking, biting, etc, officer initiated activity at Walnut Drive/South Curry Street. Dog blocking traffic. Disposition: Turn over to.

10:02 a.m. Out for investigation, officer initiated activity at Benz Sanitation, new building, Goodrick Drive. Disposition: Assignment completed.

10:27 a.m. Petty theft report, officer initiated activity at Kmart, West Tehachapi Boulevard. Disposition: Report taken.

10:55 a.m. Forgery report, occurred at Tehachapi Police Department on West "C" Street. Counter for forgery.  Disposition: Report taken.


11:42 a.m. Follow-up, occurred on Brentwood Drive. Run dog through yard. Disposition: Assignment completed.

11:46 a.m. Lost property, occurred on Oakwood Street. Brown wallet lost in the metro card, drivers license, social security card. Disposition: No further action required.

12:06 p.m. Trespassing, occurred on East "E" Street. Disturbing party will not leave location, making criminal threats to burn house down, disturbing the peace with reporting party, all black clothing on foot towards toward Circle K. Disposition: Assignment completed.

12:11 p.m. Flag down, occurred on N Robinson St, Tehachapi. Disturbing party was fighting with male subject hit with unknown object or weapon-language barrier. Disposition: Arrest made.

1:20 p.m. Suspicious circumstances, occurred on Georgia Street. Reporting party was driving into her neighborhood, she saw a Hispanic male 12-year-old juvenile with a gun unknown if toy or real, wearing all black. Gun description black diamond with red tip, juvenile was pointing to the bushes. Disposition: Turn over to.

1:54 p.m. Suspicious vehicle, occurred on South Mill Street. White ford ranger with black rack on top displaying "tree service" appears to be casing the neighborhood. Disposition: Unable to locate.

2:29 p.m. Animal call, occurred at Kmart on West Tehachapi Boulevard. Dog inside vehicle, burgundy van with Florida plates, back end facing TK Pizza. Disposition: Turn over to.

4:04 p.m. Reckless driver, occurred at Tucker ROad/Highway 202. Black Chevy crossing over line. Disposition: Unable to locate.

4:16 p.m. Disobedience of court order, occurred at Tehachapi Police Department on West "C" Street. Counter, violation of child visitation. Disposition: Civil problem.

4:26 p.m. Citizen requested assistance, occurred on West "D" Street. Requesting to keep the peace with her son's guardians grandparents and she wants to see her son before she goes to rehab. She does not have custody or stay away orders. . Disposition: Civil problem.

5:15 p.m. Out for investigation, officer initiated activity at Tehachapi Police Department, West "C" Street. Narcotics. Disposition: No further action required.

7:29 p.m. Petty theft of less than $400, occurred at Auto Zone on Tucker Road. Stole items , white female adult tall slender with black male adult in Subaru, unknown direction of travel. Disposition: Report taken.

7:57 p.m. Drunk in public, occurred at Beech Street/Brentwood Drive. Drunk in public with four kids, white t-shirt bald Hispanic male adult on foot, pushing kids down and almost falling into cars, sitting in front of a yellow house on Beech Street. Disposition: Arrest made.

8:31 p.m. Disturbing the peace, occurred at Best Western Mountain Inn on West Tehachapi Boulevard. Woman refusing to leave lobby. Disposition: Checks Ok.

10:07 p.m. Petty theft of less $400, occurred at Tehachapi Police Department on West "C" Street. Stolen tablet. Disposition: Report taken.

10:49 p.m. Unknown incident, occurred at Taco Bell on Valley Boulevard. Disposition: Arrest made.

11:33 p.m. Tehachapi city ordinance, occurred at Mobile Estates Park on South Dennison Road. Motorhome parked just out of fence and owner sneak into park. believed his mother lives in park. Is parked there all night and day, would like patrol checked for next few nights. Reporting party is manager of park. Has contacted PD about this before. Disposition: Information only.

Between July 14 and the morning of July 15, Kern County Sheriff's Department responded to 14 calls for service, including; a verbal peace disturbance on Summers Drive, a burglary alarm on Jeffrey Road/White Street in Golden Hills, a suspicious individual at Tehachapi Boys Group Home, a child endangerment investigation on Park Road in Golden Hills, a suspicious circumstances on Horseshoe Lane in Sand Canyon, a barking dog on Adalante Street, a suspicious individual at the Tehachapi Boys Group Home and a peace disturbance on Santa Maria Drive in Golden Hills.California Highway Patrol: Nothing to report.

• Annual Oldtimers Picnic will be held Sunday, Aug. 3, beginning at 11 a.m., in Central Park.

Tehachapi Blvd. Donations of new and gently used, clean clothing for school age children are being sought in support of the drive. • Family Life Pregnancy Center is selling tickets for the Barrel for Life drawing, to be held during the Evening for Life dinner/auction on Aug. 22. The drawing will be for half a wine barrel full of four to five cases of wine of mixed varieties, with an estimated value of $800. Tickets can be purchased at the Center, located at 112 S. Curry St.

• The Tehachapi Praying Moms will be sponsoring a free min-retreat for all women in Tehachapi Saturday, Aug. 23, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Lunch will be provided.
