Sabrina Limon has been booked into prison, and it appears to agree with her.

Limon, sentenced last month to 25 years to life in the death of her husband, was photographed smiling in her booking photo at Central California Women's Facility in Chowchilla.

The 38-year-old was admitted to the prison Wednesday, March 7.

Limon, the subject of a highly publicized trial last year, was convicted of murder and other charges in the shooting death of her husband at a Tehachapi railway yard in 2014.

A jury found true that Limon conspired with her lover, Jonathan Hearn, in the death of Robert Limon, and that she provided Hearn with the location and time her husband would be working on the day of his death. Hearn testified that he gunned down Robert Limon after plotting his death for months with Sabrina Limon.

It was also true, jurors found, that Limon used a disposable "burner" phone to communicate with Hearn to avoid detection by law enforcement.

Hearn, 28, accepted a plea agreement sparing him a life sentence in prison in exchange for his testimony. He's currently serving a sentence of 25 years and four months at Ironwood State Prison in Blythe.

Limon's attorney, Sharon Beth Marshall, had argued that Limon's former trial attorney, Richard Terry, failed to properly prepare his client before she took the witness stand. Limon's testimony was "nothing short of abysmal," Marshall has said in court documents.

Judge John R. Brownlee denied Marshall's motion for a new trial.

Julie Cordova, Sabrina Limon's sister, has been caring for Limon's two children at her Camarillo home since Limon was arrested in January 2017.
