A Golden Hills resident was arrested for allegedly trying to run over another woman with her car on Sunday, April 6.
Michelle Lyn Raygosa, 36, was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon around 7:30 a.m. on Monday, April 7.
Tehachapi Police Chief Jeff Kermode said Raygosa accelerated towards the victim — who is dating the ex-boyfriend of the suspect — near the intersection of North Green Street and “J” Street after she was leaving a nearby residence. When the victim jumped onto the hood of the Ford Expedition to avoid being hit, Raygosa repeatedly accelerated the car forward before pulling it back in reverse, Kermode said.
The victim did not sustain any injuries, according to police.
Raygosa was arrested at her residence on Iris Way and booked into the Central Receiving Facility in Bakersfield. She is being held on $25,000 bail.
Her next hearing is scheduled for 9 a.m. on Tuesday, April 8, at the Kern County Superior Court in Mojave.
