Tehachapi Depot Railroad Museum announces board member changes

A big thank you to Tim Trujillo who stepped down as our board president as of March 31. Tim will still be an advisor to the board, however he is moving on. He will be missed and we all wish him the best.

Dennis Storms, who has also stepped down from the board, will remain the head of our Monday morning crew, a group that does many things including signal maintenance.

Our two new board members are Bruce and Teresa Perry. They were part of the original group who started Friends of the Tehachapi Depot. They have recently moved back to the Tehachapi area. Teresa, besides being a member-at-large, will also be our new event coordinator.

Don Stephens is the new president effective April 1. Don has been on the Board as vice-president for a few years. He is excited about his new position and has been the face of the Depot during many meetings throughout Tehachapi.

Also, on April 22, we will have our annual volunteer recognition event. This event is for our all of our volunteers that have worked hard throughout the year doing various jobs, e.g. docent, cashier, maintenance scheduling duties, updating our library. The Depot wouldn't be what it is without them. Their commitment to their duties, makes us a success and a jewel to our community.
