The Golden Hills Community Service District awarded the bid for the Abajo Avenue transmission pipeline project. The 18 inch pipeline will make a connection between the Stage Lane and Santa Lucia storage tanks a distance of about 3700 feet. This will allow the water levels to be equalized during the summer peak demand, officials said.
There were three bidders for the project. Downing Construction of Yucaipa presented the winning bid of #396,885. Provost and Pritchard Engineering Consulting Group told the district they performed a thorough review of the contractor's work and reported that they found DCI to be a responsible bidder who is capable to complete the project.
Gayle Stewart Chairperson for the Tehachapi Vally Recreation and Parks District gave a brief update on the TVRPD's work with in the district at Meadowbrook park.
The meeting lasted just over 30 minutes with all board members present. The next meeting of the board is set for 6:30 February 21 at the Golden Hills CSD building, 21415 Reeves Street, Tehachapi.
