KCSO investigating death of man found in field in Rosamond

The Kern County Sheriff's Office is investigating the death of a man found in a field in Rosamond yesterday.

At about 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 15, Rosamond Sub-station deputies were dispatched to investigate a man down in a dirt field, south of residences located in the 3300 block of Poplar Street in Rosamond.  When deputies arrived they found a deceased male lying on the ground.  

Detectives responded and initiated an investigation. The deceased has not yet been identified and an autopsy will be scheduled to attempt to determine cause and manner of death. The investigation is ongoing.
