The Kern County Animal Control Department and Have a Heart Humane Society will hold a low-cost spay/neuter, vaccination, microchip and licensing clinic for dogs and cats in Tehachapi on Saturday, July 27.
The clinic will be held at the West Park Activity Center at 410 W. "D" St. from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Tehachapi residents are encouraged to make appointments for spay and neuter services by email at firstname.lastname@example.org prior to the clinic.
Reservations for vaccinations or licensing are not required.
The cost for the spay/neuter clinic for dogs or cats is $20 and includes the surgery, microchip, rabies vaccine, DHPP or FVRCP vaccines, and a one year license for dogs. In addition, dogs can receive their license for $15 if already spayed or neutered or $60 if not spayed or neutered.
Dogs and cats can receive a rabies vaccine for just $5 and a DHPP or FVRCP vaccine and microchip at no cost.
