July 25, 2013
3:31 a.m. Traffic stop at W. "F" and Mill Street, warning.
3:40 a.m. Suspicious circumstance, black male adult wearing a black hood riding a bike driving around a parking lot on W. Tehachapi Boulevard looking into vehicles. Had been given a warning by an employee. Disposition: assignment completed.
5:55 a.m. Trespassing on railroad property on E. "H" Street; male subject wearing a yellow jacket loading scrap into a basket into a basket.  
9:40 a.m. Violation of parole, officer initiated activity on N. Curry Street.
9:58 a.m. Warrant service, officer initiated activity at E. "J" Street (in the alley).
10:01 a.m. Burglary report on Linden Court, Tehachapi. Resident just got home and discovered everything from garage is missing.
11:06 a.m. Warrant service, officer initiated activity on Jonathan Place. Arrest made.
11:08 a.m. Responded to keep the peace while Realtor served notice to transients living in trailer and motor home behind restaurant on W. Tehachapi Blvd. Unable to locate.
12:40 p.m. Warrant service on E. "I" St., arrest made.
12:47 p.m. Party reported a case of vehicle embezzlement; report taken.
12:55 p.m. Manager of hotel on Steuber Road reported trespassing by adult black male wearing red, white and blue striped shirt. On foot. Checks OK.
1:03 p.m. Suspicious vehicle report at retail business on W. Tehachapi Blvd., no criminal activity.
2:11 p.m. Suspicious circumstances, Michael Avenue. Reporting party states vehicle has been parked in front of his residence, ignition has been punched. Checks OK.
2:27 p.m. Disturbing the peace; South Pauley and W. "E" Streets; male ran a bicycle into a pregnant female. Situation resolved.
3:03 p.m. Complaint of barking dog for three days on Aleah Lane.
3:09 p.m. Moving violation citation given after traffic stop at Tucker Road and W. Tehachapi Blvd.
3:43 p.m. Saddled horse walking by residence on N. Curry Street, dog barking. Checked OK.
5:34 p.m. Vanpool car with door open in parking area behind retail business on Tehachapi Blvd.
5:43 p.m. Woman on S. Pauley Street reported husband just drove off with her children and she felt he tried to run her over.
6:56 p.m. Shots fired, Kelton Street. Someone apparently was discharging a BB gun in back yard, aiming at birds in reporting party's back yard.
7:02 p.m. Burglary alarm on Wild Olive Dr., false alarm.
7:29 p.m. Fast food restaurant on W. Tehachapi Blvd. requested extra patrol, two transient black male adults hanging around back porch area. Checked OK.
8:31 p.m. Manager of establishment on W. Tehachapi Blvd. reported approximately 13 subjects outside smoking narcotics, being uncooperative. Disposition: unfounded.
8:51 p.m. Burglary alarm on W. "A" Street, false alarm.
11:31 p.m. Burglary alarm on S. Curry Street, checked OK.

July 25, 2013
11:51 a.m. Reckless driving, motorcycle speeding on Dart Drive near Cumberland Road.
12:54 p.m. Horse trapped upside down in the fence across from residence on Plateau Way. Fire Dept. responding.
5:38 p.m. Report of lost cell phone at CSD dump.

Kern County Sheriff Tehachapi Substation: Nothing reported.

Stallion Springs Police Department: Nothing reported.

California Highway Patrol: Nothing reported.


The National Weather Service in Hanford provides the following forecast for the Tehachapi area:

This afternoon: A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. Partly sunny, with a temperature falling to around 72 by 5pm. West northwest wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Tonight: A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 11 p.m. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 61. Breezy, with a west northwest wind 15 to 20 mph decreasing to 10 to 15 mph after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Saturday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 11am. Partly sunny, with a high near 75. West northwest wind 5 to 10 mph.

Saturday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 58. West northwest wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 76. West northwest wind around 15 mph.

Sunday: Night Mostly clear, with a low around 55. West northwest wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
