Local law enforcement delivered some early Christmas cheer this holiday season, as the Kern County Sheriff’s Department fanned out to deliver Christmas food baskets to 10 needy families throughout the Tehachapi Valley.

Senior Deputy Wes Kraft and Philip Cornyn of the Sheriff's Community Service Citizen Support group from the Tehachapi Sheriff's Station loaded up the stuffed food baskets to be delivered on Tuesday, December 18.

Members of the Sherriff's Department identified those families who will receive a Christmas food basket.

Countywide officers will participate in delivering 400 baskets that contain a turkey, stuffing, cranberries, and much more.
