Tuesday, June 24, 2014

12:53 a.m. Suspicious person, occurred on Sherwood Place. Hispanic male in white shirt and black shorts is standing in empty lot next house on Sherwood Place next to the fence. The subject has been in the area for an hour.  Disposition: Assisted.

1:01 a.m. Suspicious person, occurred on East "D" Street. Male subject is running and yelling in the area. Disposition: Unable to locate.

4:26 a.m. Petty theft report, occurred on West Valley Boulevard. Cellular 9-1-1 Call: Roommate took credit cards and debit. Disposition: Report Taken.

8:14 a.m. Auto accident, no injuries/property, occurred at South Pauley Street/West Tehachapi Boulevard. Fender bender two-vehicle Hyundai  Elantra  versus black Ford Explorer. Drivers standing by. Disposition: Report taken.

11:07 a.m.  Subpoena service attempt, occurred on North Davis Street. Two subpoenas. Disposition: Negative contact.

11:18 a.m. Auto accident, no injuries/property, occurred on Tucker Road. Fender bender 
at edge of parking lot of Albertson's. Disposition: No further action required, info exchange.

11:28 a.m. Subpoena service attempt, officer initiated activity at Indian Creek Villas, Tucker Road. Disposition: Negative contact.

1:04 p.m. Burglary report, occurred on Peach Blossom Lane. Reporting party is stating someone came in house and stole her car keys.  Disposition: Unfounded.

3:15 p.m. Counter at the police department, occurred at Tehachapi Police Department on East "F" Street. Disposition: Arrest made, warrant.

3:17 p.m. Warrant service, officer initiated activity at Tehachapi Police Department, West "C" Street. Disposition: Information only.

4:04 p.m. Tehachapi city ordinance,  occurred at Water Tower on East Tehachapi Boulevard/South Robinson Street. Report of a Hispanic male adult sleeping under the water tower. Disposition: Arrest made, under the influence.

6:50 p.m. Disobedience of court order, occurred on Brett Avenue. Past occurred, reporting party stating violation of custody arrangement. requesting officer contact. Male half left the area. Disposition: Assignment completed.

7:12 p.m. Burglary alarm, occurred on East Goodrick Drive. Silent motion to the southeast yard, responsible party pending.  Disposition: Checks OK.

7:33 p.m. Disturbing the peace, occurred at The Village Apartments on North Mill Street. Yelling and fighting heard.  Disposition: Checks OK.

8:28 p.m. Traffic hazard, occurred on West Tehachapi Boulevard. Gray sedan partially blocking the roadway near Walgreens, no plate available.  Disposition: Checks OK.

8:42 p.m. Suspicious circumstances, occurred at East Orchard Parkway/Clasico Drive. Female down,  has blood on her face, possibly passed out, unknown what area in the park she's at. Fire en route. Disposition: Turn over to fire .

9:11 p.m. Disturbing the peace, occurred on West Valley Boulevard. Verbal between boyfriend and girlfriend. Male half is  reporting party, states sister is going to pick her up and does not want an officer to respond but will call back if the peace disturbance continues. Disposition: Checks OK.

9:23 p.m. Driving under the influence, occurred on Tucker Road. Four door silver Mazda, left on Tucker going east. Disposition: Gone on arrival. Unable to locate.

10:46 p.m. Suspicious circumstances, occurred on East "D" Street. Can hear a small male child yelling and screaming in the white house behind reporting party's residence.  Disposition: Checks OK.

8:09 a.m.  Vicious, barking, biting, etc, occurred on San Juan Drive. Barking dogs. . Disposition: Quiet on Departure.

10:11 a.m. Bear Valley CSD ordinance, officer initiated activity at Jamaica Dunes Drive. Disposition: Checks OK.

10:21    Bear Valley CSD ordinance, officer initiated activity at Fawn Way. Disposition: Checks OK.

11:01 a.m. Bear Valley CSD ordinance, officer initiated activity at Medicine Bow Court,  Disposition: Checks OK.

11:09 a.m. Bear Valley CSD ordinance, officer initiated activity at Deertrail Drive. Disposition: Checks OK.

12:45 p.m. Bear Valley CSD ordinance, officer initiated activity at Greenwater Drive. Disposition: Checks OK.

12:47 p.m. Bear Valley CSD ordinance, officer initiated activity at Rollingoak Drive. Disposition: Checks OK.

12:57 p.m.  Bear Valley CSD ordinance, officer initiated activity at Timberline Way. Disposition: Checks OK.

2:44 p.m. Burglary alarm, occurred on San Juan Drive. Audible, motion garage west roll up door, no responsible part at this time.  Disposition: Checks OK.

4:43 p.m. Auto accident, no injuries/property, occurred on Highway 58.
Disposition: Turn over to.

4:59 p.m. Wild pig, Bear Valley only, occurred on Timberline Way. Pigs destroying property on Timberline. Followup reporting party tomorrow with placing traps.  Disposition: Information only.

6:29 p.m. Suspicious circumstances, occurred at Water Canyon Campground on Campground Drive. Past occurred, park ranger found evidence of campfires, as you enter go to the right, over the small creek, around spot 18.  Reporting party believes individuals are entering at night and drinking and lighting campfires.  Extra Patrol of the area requested. Disposition: Checks OK.

• VBSkid.org, where Jesus is always online is the theme of this year’s Vacation Bible School program at Good Shepherd Lutheran. The McAvoy family from Arizona will lead VBS with their high energy fun. VBS will run June 23 through 27 from 9 to 11:30 a.m., for ages kindergarten through 6th grade. Good Shepherd is located at 329 S. Mill St. For preregistration and more information contact Melissa Zehr at 823-1358.

• The Bear Valley Springs Cultural Arts Association will present Bear Valley’s own Dan Bronson in a lecture entitled "Chasing the Rainbow." This lecture will take place on Saturday, June 28, from 4 to 5:30 p.m., at the Equestrian Center in Bear Valley. Refreshments will be served, but reservations are required. Call Jeanette at 972-2344 or Nilly at 821-1587 for reservations and gate passes by June 18.

• College Community Services — The Learning Center, located at 107 S. Mill St., Suite B, will be hosting a BBQ and potluck event Wednesday, June 25, from noon to 2 p.m. Hamburgers and hotlines will be provided. Bring a dish to share with approximately 10 people. RSVP at least two days in advance of the event by calling 822-4639.


• Bear Valley Community Services District's board of directors meets at 6 p.m. on Thursday, June 26 at 6 p.m. at 28999 South Lower Valley Road. The board will also meet for a special strategic planning session on Friday, June 27 at 9 a.m. at the same location.

• Tehachapi Police Department's grand opening of its new station begins at 11 a.m. on June 27 with a ribbon cutting, followed by an open house and tour from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. A second-chance tour is available on June 28 from 9 a.m. to noon.
