Victim of Old West Ranch shooting identified

The victim of a shooting death on the Old West Ranch has been identified by the Kern County Coroner's Office as Larry Dale Reagan, 45, of Tehachapi.
At 4:57 a.m. Friday, deputies responded to a report of a victim of a shooting in the 17200 block of Summers Drive in the West Ranch area near Tehachapi.
Reagan's body was located by individuals hunting in the area.
Deputies found Reagan lying on a dirt roadway near his parked vehicle. He had been shot several times and was dead when deputies found him.
Detectives questioned area residents and were able to determine Reagan lived alone in the area where he was shot. The motive for the killing is unknown.
