The latest -According to the latest report from the California Highway Patrol, Highway 58 is open in both directions with no resctrictions. However, earlier highway closures due to last night's snow storm has forced the postponement of tonight's Tehachapi High School boys basketball CIF playoff game, which has been moved to Thursday at 5 p.m. It will preceed the girls CIF Division III quarterfinal playoff game at 7 p.m. in the THS gym as scheduled.

Stallion Springs Police Department: Weather Alert: If you do not have a pending emergency travel is not advised, extremely dangerous road condition exist. SSCSD snow plows have been working all night and will be working throughout the day.

This afternoon: A 20 percent chance of snow showers. Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 33. Breezy, with a west northwest wind around 25 mph, with gusts as high as 35 mph.

Tonight: Partly cloudy, with a low around 22. West northwest wind 10 to 15 mph.

Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 40. West wind 5 to 10 mph.

Thursday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 25. West northwest wind around 5 mph becoming northeast in the evening.

CIVIC CALENDAR

As of 10 a.m. this morning, the Tehachapi-Cummings Valley Water District Board of Directors is still holding its monthly meeting at 4 p.m. today at  ‪22901 Banducci Rd.‬

THS School Site Council Meeting originally scheduled for this Thursday, Feb. 21 has been postponed to next Thursday, Feb. 28 in the THS Administration Building Conference Room at 1 p.m.

The Tehachapi Valley Recreation and Parks District's February Board of Director’s meeting originally scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 19, has been re-scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 26, at 5:30 p.m. at the TVRPD office, 490 W. "D" St.
